Transformers And Rectifiers Q2 Results: Profit Jumps 338% As Revenue Rises 66%, Share Price Rallies Up To 17%
Transformers and Rectifiers (India) reports a 338% jump in Q2FY27 profit as revenue rises 66% and shares rally 17.11%.

For Transformers and Rectifiers (India), Q2FY27 brought a substantial earnings recovery. Revenue advanced 66% year-on-year, and profit after tax jumped 338%. The improvement had several supports: better capacity utilisation, higher operating earnings and an order book that continued to expand.

Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Ltd (TARIL) delivered a strong performance in the September quarter. Revenue climbed 66% year on year to ₹709 crore. Firmer operating margins and better execution across its manufacturing facilities added to the gains, alongside higher revenue.

TARIL shares rose 17.11% to ₹356.00 on 14 October 2026, gaining ₹52.00 against the previous close of ₹304.00. The stock traded between ₹332.95 and ₹360.80 during the session, with trading volume of 4.11 million shares on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) as of 10:12 am IST.

Profit after tax (PAT) rose to ₹75 crore, a substantial increase from the same quarter last year. Yet one detail warrants attention. The quarterly figure included an exceptional gain of ₹131.5 crore, which matters when judging the company’s underlying performance.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) more than doubled to ₹128.8 crore, compared with ₹58.9 crore a year earlier. The improvement reflected stronger operating efficiency and better capacity utilisation.

The first half of FY27 brought further gains in TARIL’s order position. Fresh order inflows reached ₹3,283 crore, with demand spanning its project pipeline. The unexecuted order book stood at ₹7,237 crore on 30 September 2026, up 32% from a year earlier.

Another ₹21,000 crore worth of inquiries sat in the pipeline. These comprise projects under negotiation, not confirmed orders. Their eventual conversion, followed by successful execution, will determine how much of this potential translates into business.

The financial figures also moved higher. Revenue from operations for the six months ended September rose 35% to ₹1,268 crore. EBITDA increased 47% to ₹185 crore, while profit grew 62% to ₹125 crore.
