TCS, Vedanta Shares In Focus Ahead Of Dividend Record Date; Check Payout, Eligibility Details
TCS and Vedanta shares in focus as October 14 record date approaches, with dividends of ₹12 and ₹5 per share, respectively.

TCS and Vedanta shares will be in focus ahead of their October 14 dividend record date. TCS has declared an interim dividend of ₹12 per share, while Vedanta has announced a ₹5 per share payout for FY27.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Vedanta shares will be in focus on Tuesday, October 13, ahead of the record date for their respective interim dividends.

Both companies have fixed Wednesday, October 14, as the record date to determine shareholders eligible for the payouts. TCS has declared an interim dividend of ₹12 per share, while Vedanta has announced an interim dividend of ₹5 per share for FY2026-27.

October 13 is also the last trading day to buy the shares to become eligible for the dividends. Under India's T+1 settlement system, investors buying TCS or Vedanta shares on October 14, when the stocks trade ex-dividend, will not qualify for the announced payouts.

For TCS, the latest ₹12 per share payout follows the company's September-quarter results. Vedanta's ₹5 per share dividend, meanwhile, is its first interim dividend for FY2026-27 and amounts to a total payout of about ₹1,955 crore.

TCS declared an interim dividend of ₹12 per equity share following its board meeting on October 8. The IT major has fixed October 14 as the record date for determining eligible shareholders.

The dividend will be paid on Friday, October 30, to shareholders who meet the eligibility criteria. The ₹12 payout comes on a face value of ₹1 per share.

TCS announced the dividend along with its Q2 FY27 earnings. The IT major reported consolidated net profit of ₹13,884 crore for the September quarter, up 14.98% from ₹12,075 crore in the year-ago period.

Revenue from operations rose 11.23% year-on-year to ₹73,118 crore from ₹65,799 crore. TCS shares will trade ex-dividend on October 14, the same day as the record date.

Vedanta has also fixed October 14 as the record date for its first interim dividend for FY2026-27.

The company's board approved a dividend of ₹5 per equity share on a face value of ₹1 at its meeting held on October 8. The payout amounts to around ₹1,955 crore.

October 13 is therefore the final trading session before Vedanta shares turn ex-dividend.

The dividend is also Vedanta's first payout following the demerger of the group businesses earlier this year.

Investors holding eligible shares based on the record-date requirements will receive the dividend. The payout is required to be completed within the prescribed period following its declaration.

TCS and Vedanta will both trade ex-dividend on October 14, making their shares among the corporate-action stocks to track in Tuesday's session.
