Shares of Shiprocket rose nearly 7% in morning trade on Tuesday, September 8, after the logistics solutions provider reported a narrower net loss for the April-June quarter of FY27, helped by strong growth in operating revenue.
The stock climbed 6.8% to Rs 144.50 on the NSE, compared with its previous close of Rs 135.21. It pared some gains later in the session and was trading 3.17% higher at Rs 139.49.
Shiprocket Q1 results
Shiprocket's net loss narrowed to Rs 13.71 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 18.03 crore in the year-ago quarter. Revenue from operations rose nearly 34% year-on-year to Rs 592 crore from Rs 442 crore.
The improvement in revenue also helped the company reduce its operating loss. EBITDA margin improved to -1.8% in the June quarter from -3.9% a year earlier, although EBITDA remained negative.
The June quarter was Shiprocket's first quarterly earnings report since its stock market debut on August 19.
What is driving Shiprocket's growth?
Shiprocket said its performance was supported by both its core business and newer growth initiatives. During the quarter, the company launched an upgraded version of RADAR, its AI-powered courier intelligence platform, along with an AI Ads platform and an appointment-based delivery service.
The company expects the expansion of India's e-commerce market to create further demand for logistics, payments and merchant-focused technology services. “Almost none of the merchants driving that growth will build their own logistics, payments and growth stack. They will rent it,” Saahil Goel, Managing Director and CEO of Shiprocket, said.
