Nuvoco Vistas Q2 Results
Nuvoco Vistas reported a 79% rise in quarterly profit to ₹65.3 crore as revenue climbed 13.5% in Q2 FY27

Nuvoco Vistas reports a 79% profit jump to ₹65.3 crore in Q2 FY27, with revenue rising 13.5% and cement sales growing 9%. Read more for details.

Nuvoco Vistas Corporation earned ₹65.3 crore in the July-September quarter of FY27, against ₹36.4 crore in the same quarter last year. Its revenue stood at ₹2,790 crore, a 13.5% increase. Cement dispatches also picked up, with sales reaching 4.7 million tonnes, 9% higher than a year ago. The company managed to grow its earnings despite heavy rainfall in key markets and pressure on operating costs.

Nuvoco Vistas announced its results after market hours yesterday. Its shares closed at ₹337.35 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), up 1.5% from the previous session.

On Friday at 11:14 AM, Nuvoco Vistas shares were trading at ₹333.86, down 1.14%. The company’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) climbed 11% to ₹407 crore from ₹367 crore in the year-ago quarter. Its EBITDA margin held steady at 15%.

The latest Nuvoco Vistas Q2 results came amid an uneven operating environment. Heavy rainfall affected some of its key markets, while disruptions to logistics and supply chains added to the challenges faced during the quarter.

Managing Director Jayakumar Krishnaswamy said the company recorded growth in revenue, EBITDA and profit after tax despite these difficulties. He also pointed to higher input costs linked to geopolitical uncertainty.

The company’s focus on premium products and improving its geographical sales mix helped support realisations, even as cement prices remained relatively subdued.

Nuvoco also commissioned a grinding unit at Limla in Surat during the quarter. The facility has an annual capacity of 2 million tonnes and adds to the company’s ongoing expansion efforts. Management expects the commissioning to support progress on the remaining modules of the Vadraj Cement project at Kutch and Sachana.

Nuvoco expects cement sales to pick up once the monsoon retreats. State government spending could also help in the coming months. The company pointed out that 77% of the planned state government expenditure was still pending, leaving room for more infrastructure-related activity in the second half of FY27.

There are cost concerns, though. Nuvoco warned that geopolitical tensions could make fuel and packaging bags more expensive, adding to the pressure on cement manufacturers.

The company is also working towards a bigger production base. It wants to take its cement capacity to 35 million tonnes a year by FY28. Meeting that target will depend on how quickly its expansion projects move ahead. For Nuvoco, the coming quarters will bring two key tasks: keeping costs under control and preparing for a possible recovery in cement demand.
