Mrs Bectors Food Specialities shares extended a sharp four-day rally, rising another 4.5% on Tuesday, 21 July 2026 to hit a five-month high of ₹219.61 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The stock has now gained approximately 30% since Sunil Singhania's Abakkus Investment Managers acquired close to 1% equity in the company through a bulk deal on 15 July.

The initial session following the transaction saw the stock jump 14%, with a further 7% intraday gain on Friday before profit booking pushed it to a lower close.

Exchange data shows Abakkus Investment Managers purchased nearly 30 lakh shares of Mrs Bectors Food on 15 July, representing approximately 0.96% of the company's equity. The shares were acquired at an average price of ₹168.97 per share. The entry of a well-known institutional investor like Abakkus appears to have significantly improved market sentiment towards the stock.

The four-day rally has added meaningfully to returns on a shorter time frame, with the stock up around 28% in one week and nearly 13% over the past month. However, the picture looks different on a longer horizon.

The shares are down some 13% on a year-to-date basis and nearly 30% over the past year, suggesting that the recent move has reversed some of a long period of underperformance. The stock has returned 28% over the past three years and 141% over the past five years. Mrs Bectors Food has a market capitalisation of about ₹6,585 crore.

As of June 2026, the promoters and promoter group held just over 49% of the company with the remaining 51% in the hands of public shareholders. About 19 mutual funds held a combined 24% stake in the company while three insurance companies held over a 1% stake between them. More than one lakh retail shareholders held approximately 12% of the company.

Mrs Bectors Food is yet to announce results for the April to June quarter of FY27. Consolidated revenue increased 8.4% year-on-year to ₹496 crore for the quarter ended March 2026 and consolidated net profit was up 3.3% to ₹35 crore, reflecting steady and modest earnings growth.
