Manipal Hospitals Q1 FY 2026-27 Results
Manipal Hospitals reports ₹243 crore Q1 FY27 profit; Revenue rises 38.1% to ₹3,091 crore.

Manipal Health Enterprises reported a ₹243-crore profit in Q1 FY27, its first quarter after listing. The revenue rose 38.1% year-on-year to ₹3,091 crore. Patient volumes and occupancy also improved during the quarter.

Manipal Health Enterprises (Manipal Hospitals) reported a profit after tax (PAT) of ₹243 crore in the first quarter of FY27, its first earnings report since listing on the stock exchanges. PAT was 4% lower than the same quarter last year.

The PAT figure does not include ₹89 crore of post-tax interest expenses related to the non-convertible debentures (NCDs) issued to fund the acquisition of Sahyadri Hospitals.

Revenue from operations, however, saw strong growth during the quarter. It rose 38.1% year-on-year to ₹3,091 crore, helped by higher patient volumes and the contribution from recently acquired hospitals.

Patient footfall increased across both inpatient and outpatient segments during the quarter.

Inpatient volumes rose 38.8% from a year earlier, while outpatient volumes grew 26%. Hospital occupancy also improved. It increased by 290 basis points during the quarter to 65%.

Average revenue per occupied bed (ARPOB) stood at ₹71,500 per day.

The recently acquired Sahyadri Hospitals also reported growth during the quarter. Its revenue increased 12.8% year-on-year (YoY), while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 18.7% YoY. The EBITDA growth was supported by higher ARPOB and improved operating efficiency.

The company said the integration of Sahyadri continued during the quarter across clinical and operational functions.

Dilip Jose, Managing Director and CEO of Manipal Hospitals, said the company's first quarter as a listed entity reflected continued patient demand and growth in high-acuity specialties.

He said the performance reflected the strength of Manipal Hospitals' pan-India network and sustained demand for specialised healthcare services.

The integration of Sahyadri Hospitals remains a major focus for the management. Jose said the company expects the larger network to help improve operating scale and create benefits through shared capabilities and closer clinical integration.

Going ahead, Manipal Hospitals plans to invest in expanding capacity, technology and clinical capabilities. The company said it will continue to focus on operational efficiency and disciplined use of capital as it expands its presence across India.

Management expects the Sahyadri integration to contribute further to the company's performance in the coming quarters.

On Friday, 21 August 2026, at 10:45 AM, Manipal Health Enterprises’ share price stood at ₹715.20 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The stock was down 1.26% compared with the previous session's closing price.
