Kalyan Jewellers, Titan, PC Jeweller Shares Gain Up to 5% as Jewellery Stocks Eye Festive Season Demand
Jewellery stocks gain as festive demand and September-quarter updates put Kalyan, Titan and PC Jeweller in focus.

Jewellery stocks gained on October 5, led by Kalyan Jewellers, as the sector entered the festive buying period. Titan Company and PC Jeweller also traded higher, with upcoming September-quarter business updates expected to provide fresh sales numbers.

Kalyan Jewellers, Titan Company and PC Jeweller shares gained on Monday, October 5, as jewellery stocks remained in focus ahead of the festive season. Kalyan Jewellers led the gains, rising as much as 5.7% to an intraday high of ₹558.50.

Kalyan Jewellers share price was trading at ₹556.15, up 5.23%, at 1:38 pm. Titan Company shares gained 1.08% to ₹4,564.50 after touching ₹4,610, while PC Jeweller shares rose 2.35% to ₹13.12 at 1:58 pm after hitting an intraday high of ₹13.32.

The gains come ahead of Navratri, Dussehra, Durga Puja, Dhanteras and Diwali, a key sales period for jewellery retailers. The stocks are also in focus ahead of September-quarter business updates, with companies expected to report provisional sales numbers in the coming days.

Jewellery stocks have gained as the festive buying season approaches. The period is important for retailers, with jewellery purchases typically picking up around Dhanteras and Diwali.

The September-quarter business updates are another near-term trigger for the stocks. The updates are expected to provide sales figures and other operating details for the quarter ended September 30, giving investors the first look at how the companies performed ahead of the main festive period.

Kalyan Jewellers has been among the stronger-performing jewellery stocks in recent months. The stock is up 36.53% over the past six months, while its 52-week range stands at ₹327.05–₹648.95. Its market capitalisation was around ₹54,684 crore.

Titan, one of India's largest jewellery retailers through its Tanishq business, has also remained in focus. The stock's 52-week range is ₹3,401–₹5,186.70.

PC Jeweller, meanwhile, has a 52-week range of ₹7.45–₹14.87 and a market capitalisation of around ₹12,700 crore.

Gold prices are an important factor for jewellery companies as the festive season gets underway. Retail gold rates were updated across major Indian markets on October 5, including rates quoted by major jewellery retailers such as Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Joyalukkas, Kalyan Jewellers and Tanishq.

Higher gold prices increase the value of jewellery sold by retailers, but they can also affect the quantity purchased by customers. The September-quarter sales numbers will therefore be watched alongside the prevailing gold price trend.

For listed jewellery companies, the combination of festive demand and gold prices is likely to remain in focus as the sector moves into its busiest sales period.

The September-quarter business updates will be the next major trigger for the stocks. Sales growth, store additions and performance across the festive period will be key numbers to track when companies release their updates.

Kalyan Jewellers, Titan and PC Jeweller are entering the period with their shares at different levels within their respective 52-week ranges. Monday's gains have brought renewed attention to the sector, but the upcoming sales updates will provide a clearer picture of whether the festive-season demand is translating into stronger business performance.
