Info Edge Commits ₹10 Crore To SIHL As It Expands Tech Investment Opportunities

Info Edge India has approved an investment of about ₹10 crore in its wholly owned subsidiary, SIHL. The capital will be used to explore investment opportunities in technology companies, contribute to alternative investment funds (AIFs) and meet other general purposes.
Info Edge India Limited has approved an investment of approximately ₹10 crore in Startup Investments (Holding) Limited (SIHL), its wholly owned subsidiary. The decision was taken by the Committee of Executive Directors on 7 September 2026.
The investment is intended to provide SIHL with additional capital to pursue opportunities involving technology companies and alternative investment funds (AIFs). Info Edge already uses SIHL as an investment vehicle for direct and indirect investments in the technology sector.
The transaction will involve the acquisition of 33,57,958 equity shares of SIHL. Each share has a face value of ₹10 and carries a premium of ₹19.78 per share.
SIHL Investment Classified As Related-Party Transaction
The ₹10 crore investment would be made in cash and is scheduled to be completed within 30 days of approval.
The transaction is classified as a related-party transaction because SIHL is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Info Edge. However, the investment is being undertaken on an arm's-length basis. No additional governmental or regulatory approval is required for the transaction.
Info Edge India Ltd.’s stake in SIHL will remain unchanged after the investment, with the subsidiary continuing to be wholly owned by the company, both directly and through Naukri Internet Services Limited.
About SIHL And Its Financials
SIHL was incorporated on 4 March 2015 and operates primarily from India. Its activities include making direct or indirect investments in technology companies and related investments, including contributions to AIFs.
As of 31 March 2026, SIHL had a net worth of ₹203.31 crore. The subsidiary reported a net loss of ₹2 lakh.
