IFCI Share Price Surges Nearly 9% Despite Weak Market; ₹69.50 Resistance And ₹60 Downside Levels In Focus

IFCI shares rose sharply during the session, while technical indicators pointed to key resistance levels and continued downside risks. Read more.
IFCI Limited shares rose about 9% on Thursday, 8 October 2026, even as the broader market remained under pressure. It could be a relief bounce, a comeback, not a sign that a trend is reversed.
Moreover, technical indicators suggest that IFCI shares may continue to face resistance at higher levels.
On 8 October, the IFCI share price stood at ₹66.21, up 3.58% at 3:13 pm on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). The stock opened at ₹64.08 and touched an intraday high of ₹69.81. It fell to ₹63.28 during the session.
IFCI Share Faces Resistance
The stock had gained 4.11% over the past week and 22.59% over six months. Its year-to-date (YTD) gain stood at 27.91%. However, the IFCI share price today declined 9.75% over two weeks, 26.73% in one month and 8.07% over three months.
The stock had bounced 5.61% from the ₹63.30 support level and was testing the resistance zone of ₹67.60-₹68. The stock was also below its 20-, 50-, 100- and 200-day exponential moving averages (EMAs), with the relative strength index (RSI) at 39.
Can IFCI Share Price Sustain The Recovery?
A sustained move above ₹69.50, the 200-EMA, could be important for a meaningful trend reversal. If the stock fails to clear this level, analysts see downside potential towards ₹60.
The stock had formed a bearish 100% pole after retracing its previous upmove. A sharp 40-45% decline over a short period could indicate some exhaustion on the downside. However, any recovery should be approached cautiously.
IFCI Q1 FY2026-27 Financials
IFCI's consolidated net profit fell 16.10% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹33.52 crore in Q1 FY27 from ₹39.95 crore a year earlier. Sales declined 19.68% to ₹327.06 crore from ₹407.18 crore.
With financial performance remaining subdued and the stock below key moving averages, ₹69.50 remains an important upside level, while ₹60 is the key downside marker.
