Jio Platforms IPO
Jio Platforms gears up for a mega IPO with a ₹1,065–₹1,119 price band, targeting ₹30,213 crore to reduce telecom debt.

Jio Platforms is preparing an IPO with a reported price band of ₹1,065–₹1,119 per share, potentially raising ₹30,213 crore. The proceeds will support the company's telecom debt repayment.

Jio Platforms is preparing to enter the stock market with a price band of ₹1,065 to ₹1,119 per share. The offering could raise up to ₹30,213 crore. This will make it potentially the largest IPO in India's history.

The proposed price range was reported on 9 October 2026, citing sources familiar with the matter. Jio Platforms plans to issue up to 27 crore new shares. The final issue details will be confirmed in its red herring prospectus (RHP).

The public issue is expected to open for subscription on 21 October 2026. Bidding for anchor investors is scheduled to begin on 19 October, ahead of the public offering. The shares are expected to list on 28 October 2026, subject to the final schedule.

At the upper end of the price band, the company could raise around ₹30,213 crore. This would put it ahead of Hyundai Motor India's ₹27,859 crore IPO in 2024. The final fundraising amount will depend on the offer terms and the number of shares issued.

The offering is structured as a fresh issue, meaning the money raised will go to Jio Platforms rather than to existing shareholders selling their stakes. Reliance Industries is expected to remain the company's promoter after the listing.

A major share of the Jio IPO proceeds is expected to be used to reduce borrowings at Reliance Jio Infocomm, the group's telecommunications business. Jio Platforms plans to allocate up to ₹27,500 crore towards repayment or prepayment of these loans. The balance will be available for general corporate purposes.

Jio Platforms operates across mobile services, broadband, cloud, entertainment, enterprise technology and artificial intelligence. Its telecom business had approximately 524.4 million subscribers as of March 2026. The listing will give public-market investors a direct opportunity to invest in Reliance Industries' digital and telecommunications businesses.
