Bajaj Finance Takes 5% Stake In TrueFan AI Under Finserv Intelligence

Bajaj Finance has acquired a 5% stake in TrueFan AI as part of Bajaj Finserv’s Finserv Intelligence initiative. The investment follows the lender’s use of TrueFan’s platform at production scale for personalised videos and other customer and dealer communication.
Bajaj Finance Ltd. has acquired a 5% stake in TrueFan AI, the AI-powered video generation platform operated by Hogwarts E-learning Universe Private Limited. The investment is part of Bajaj Finserv’s Finserv Intelligence initiative.
What Is The Bajaj Finance Investment In TrueFan AI?
The 5% stake gives Bajaj Finance an equity interest in TrueFan AI and builds on an existing commercial relationship between the two companies.
Bajaj Finance has been using TrueFan’s platform to create personalised videos for customer engagement and dealer communication. The company said the platform has been deployed at scale, with millions of videos generated through the technology.
Rajeev Jain, Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Bajaj Finance, said the investment followed sustained use of TrueFan AI’s technology at production scale. He added that the company’s experience with the platform had given it direct exposure to its capabilities and execution.
For TrueFan, the investment also brings an existing customer into its shareholder base. Nimish Goel, co-founder & CEO of TrueFan, said Bajaj Finance’s investment followed its experience with the company’s technology and described it as a vote of confidence in the team and its work.
Ahead of the announcement, Bajaj Finance share price closed at ₹1,054.10 on 8 September 2026.
Why Is Bajaj Finance Investing Through Finserv Intelligence?
The investment forms part of Finserv Intelligence, Bajaj Finserv’s group-wide initiative focused on applied research and innovation.
The initiative is designed around high-tech, low-unit-cost and scalable solutions. It also gives Bajaj Finance a route to invest in technology startups, with a focus on early-stage companies from seed to Series B.
The areas identified under the initiative include:
- Artificial intelligence
- Cybersecurity
- Quantum technologies
- Fintech
- Consumer technology
Finserv Intelligence is planned with a five-to-ten-year horizon for realisable impact. Its model combines academic collaborations, investments in the start-up ecosystem and in-house specialists.
The initiative also envisages research and development labs, centres of excellence, venture-led models and a Scholars-in-Residence programme for capability building.
Bajaj Finance describes itself as a FinAI company and has been focusing on the use of technology, data and analytics across its operations. The TrueFan investment fits within that broader technology strategy.
What Will Bajaj Finance And TrueFan AI Work On Next?
The two companies intend to expand their existing relationship beyond the current use of personalised videos.
Their planned areas of collaboration include:
- Personalised marketing
- Video generation at scale
- In-app live avatar assistance
- AI-powered multilingual communication
- Dealer communication
- Learning and development
- Digital onboarding
TrueFan’s platform is designed for enterprise deployment, with a focus on low-cost inference, high-volume video generation and integration with existing enterprise workflows.
TrueFan AI, founded in 2019, provides AI-powered video generation for enterprises, small and medium-sized businesses and consumers. The platform supports more than 175 languages and has customers across BFSI, healthcare, FMCG, retail, travel and technology.
The company currently serves more than 100 enterprise customers, 150+ SMBs and 70,000+ consumers. Its platform has more than 800,000 paid users, while its app has recorded more than 60 lakh downloads on Android and 10 lakh on iOS.
Bajaj Finance, meanwhile, serves more than 124.43 million customers through consumer loans, SME finance, commercial lending, rural lending, fixed deposits and payments. Its distribution network includes more than 4,000 locations and 2.5 lakh active distribution points across India.
The investment therefore comes alongside an existing commercial deployment, while the proposed expansion covers additional customer-facing and internal applications.
