Bajaj Electricals Q1 FY 2026-27 Results: Net Profit Surges To ₹48 Crore, Shares Jump 16%

Bajaj Electricals' Q1 FY 2026-27 net profit surged to Rs 48 crore from Rs 1 crore, as EBITDA margin expanded to 7% on stronger operating performance, sending shares up 16%.
Bajaj Electricals Q1 FY 2026-27 Results: Bajaj Electricals Ltd reported its June quarter (Q1 FY27) results on Thursday, August 6, with consolidated net profit rising sharply to ₹48 crore from ₹1 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue from operations increased 2.3% year-on-year to ₹1,089 crore from ₹1,065 crore.
The earnings were well received by investors, with Bajaj Electricals shares surging as much as 16% during Thursday's trade.
EBITDA more than doubled to ₹77 crore from ₹33 crore a year ago, while EBITDA margin expanded to 7.02% from 3.1%. Profit before tax rose to ₹66 crore from ₹2 crore in the year-ago period. Company-level EBIT also increased 2.7 times, with the EBIT margin improving to 6.6%.
Business Performance
The Consumer Products business reported revenue of ₹820 crore during the quarter, up 1.7% year-on-year from ₹807 crore. EBIT stood at ₹32 crore, compared with a loss of ₹14 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
The Lighting Solutions business posted revenue of ₹269 crore, an increase of 4.4% from ₹258 crore a year earlier. However, EBIT declined to ₹18 crore from ₹27 crore in the year-ago period.
Bajaj Electricals ended the June quarter with cash equivalents and surplus investments of ₹884 crore, maintaining a debt-light balance sheet.
Management Commentary
Chairman Shekhar Bajaj said the company began FY27 on a positive note despite higher input costs, uneven summer demand and industry-wide price increases. He said the company remained focused on execution, channel consolidation and cost efficiencies during the quarter.
Managing Director and CEO Sanjay Sachdeva said the Consumer Products business returned to growth, with the segment reporting a positive EBIT margin of 3.9%. He added that the performance reinforces the company's confidence in delivering sustainable and profitable growth.
Separately, the board approved the appointment of Krishnan Sundaram as Chief Growth and New Business Officer with effect from August 11. It also approved, subject to shareholder approval, an increase in the employee stock option pool under the company's Performance Stock Option Plan 2023.
Bajaj Electricals Share Price
Shares of Bajaj Electricals jumped nearly 16% after the earnings announcement, touching an intraday high of ₹403 on the NSE, its biggest intraday gain since February 2021. At 1:53 pm, the stock was trading at ₹397.50, up 14.19%.
Despite Thursday's rally, the stock remains down around 16% so far in 2026. It has gained about 22% over the past month but is still down 4% over the last six months.
