Bajaj Auto Q1 FY27 Results: Standalone net profit rose 42.3% year-on-year to ₹2,983 crore in the June quarter, while revenue from operations increased 37% to ₹17,244 crore as record export volumes helped EBITDA cross ₹3,500 crore for the first time.
Bajaj Auto on Tuesday, July 21, reported a 42.31% year-on-year rise in standalone net profit to ₹2,983 crore for the April-June quarter (Q1 FY27), compared with ₹2,096 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Revenue from operations rose 37.02% year-on-year to ₹17,244 crore from ₹12,584 crore a year earlier.
EBITDA crossed ₹3,500 crore for the first time, rising more than 40% year-on-year, while EBITDA margin expanded to 20.9% from 19.8% a year ago and 20.8% in the March quarter. The company attributed the margin expansion to favourable USD-INR realisations, an improved product mix, operating leverage, and disciplined pricing and cost management.
Domestic Business Maintains Strong Momentum
Bajaj Auto's domestic business posted double-digit growth across all segments, with domestic revenue increasing 26% year-on-year, driven by both two-wheelers and three-wheelers across internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) platforms.
The company said its ICE portfolio continued to witness healthy demand, while revenue from the EV business nearly doubled from a year ago. EVs now contribute around 30% of the domestic business, although capacity constraints and supply limitations restricted further growth.
Record Exports Drive Q1 Performance
Exports remained the key growth driver during the quarter, with Bajaj Auto reporting its highest-ever quarterly export volumes and revenue.
Export volumes crossed 700,000 units for the first time as the company gained market share across several international markets. Growth was led by continued strength in Latin America, a sharp recovery in Africa where business more than doubled year-on-year including a three-fold increase in Nigeria and nearly 70% growth in commercial vehicle exports.
Bajaj Auto Management Commentary
Bajaj Auto said its diversified business model enabled double-digit growth across domestic and export markets, helping the company deliver record revenue, volumes and profitability during the quarter despite a challenging external environment.
