Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC reported a 12% rise in consolidated net profit to ₹310 crore for Q1 FY27, while quarterly average assets under management (QAAUM) grew 42% year-on-year to ₹6.28 lakh crore, supported by strong growth in alternate assets and mandates.

Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC on Tuesday reported a 12% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to ₹309.5 crore for the April-June quarter (Q1 FY27), compared with ₹277.1 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Revenue from operations rose 3% year-on-year to ₹463 crore from ₹447.4 crore a year earlier and increased marginally from ₹458.2 crore in the March quarter.

Total expenses rose 14% year-on-year to ₹219.3 crore, primarily due to higher employee benefit costs, resulting in a 4% decline in operating profit to ₹243.7 crore from ₹254.4 crore in the year-ago period.

The company received a strong boost from other income, which rose to ₹162.4 crore from ₹117.9 crore a year earlier, compared with a loss of ₹32.9 crore in the preceding quarter.

The company reported robust growth in its asset base during the quarter, with overall quarterly average assets under management (QAAUM), including alternate assets, rising 42% year-on-year to ₹6.28 lakh crore.

Overall closing assets under management, including mandates, stood at ₹10.7 lakh crore as of June 30, 2026, compared with ₹4.4 lakh crore a year earlier.

Mutual fund QAAUM rose 6% year-on-year to ₹4.28 lakh crore. Within the mutual fund business, equity mutual fund QAAUM increased 10% to ₹1.99 lakh crore, with equity assets accounting for 46.5% of overall mutual fund AUM. Individual monthly AAUM stood at ₹2.11 lakh crore in June 2026, representing 48.9% of mutual fund AUM.

PMS and AIF QAAUM, including ESIC and EPFO mandates, surged nearly five-fold year-on-year to ₹1.95 lakh crore from ₹28,700 crore a year earlier. Mandate QAAUM alone stood at ₹1.90 lakh crore during the quarter.

Monthly SIP contributions, including systematic transfer plans (STPs), stood at ₹1,085 crore in June 2026, supported by 4.03 million contributing SIP accounts. The asset manager registered around 5.47 lakh new SIPs, including STPs, during the quarter.

ABSL AMC shares fell as much as 5.5% to ₹1,055 during Tuesday's trade after the company reported its June quarter results. The stock was trading at ₹1,071 on the NSE at 1:50 pm.
