Adani Infra Acquires 1.03% Stake In Adani Green Energy For ₹2,380 Crore

Adani Infra (India) Ltd, a promoter group entity of Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL), bought a 1.03% stake in the company for ₹2,380 crore through a block deal on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

The transaction consisted of the purchase of 1.7 crore shares at an average price of ₹1,400 apiece. The shares were sold by Ardour Investment Holding Ltd, another promoter group entity of Adani Green Energy.

Following the transaction, Adani Green Energy share price today rose 1.48% to ₹1,415.60 apiece on the NSE. At 3:15 PM, shares were trading at ₹1,384.00, up 0.79%.

Shareholding Pattern Changes In Promoter Group

Adani Infra’s stake in the renewable energy firm rose to 2.34% from 1.3% earlier, while Ardour Investment Holding’s stake fell to 4.01% from 5.04%.

According to market participants, the deal did not alter the company's overall promoter shareholding, since the shares merely changed hands between two entities within the same promoter group.

Second Such Transaction in Recent Months

This is the second time in less than two months that Adani Infra has increased its stake in Adani Green Energy through a transaction with Ardour Investment Holding.

In June, Adani Infra had bought 2.15 crore shares, or a 1.31% stake, from the same entity for ₹3,246 crore through open market transactions, indicating continued consolidation of shareholding among Adani Group promoter entities.
