Molbio Diagnostics, the diagnostics company backed by Temasek and Motilal Oswal Group, has filed its red herring prospectus (RHP) with the Registrar of Companies, confirming that its initial public offering (IPO) will open for public subscription on 10 August.

The Goa-headquartered firm will share its listing date with Dhoot Transmission, marking the second mainboard issue to launch on the same day.

The Molbio Diagnostics IPO will open its anchor investor book on 7 August, which will remain open for bidding until 12 August. Molbio Diagnostics is raising ₹200 crore through a fresh issue of shares, while existing shareholders will sell 91.66 lakh shares through an offer for sale (OFS).

The fresh issue will garner fresh capital for the company, while the OFS portion will give an opportunity to existing investors to offload part of their holdings, with the proceeds going directly to the selling shareholders.

The size of the OFS has been pruned from the 1.25 crore shares initially proposed in the draft papers filed in August 2025, after the Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) clearance received in December 2025.

The promoters, Exxora Trading and Dr Chandrasekhar Bhaskaran Nair, have a 46.65% stake in the company, while the rest is held by investors such as Temasek subsidiary V Sciences Investments and Motilal Oswal’s India Business Excellence Fund.

Molbio Diagnostics is known for its Truenat platform, a point-of-care (PCR) diagnostic system patented across more than 100 countries, used to detect diseases including tuberculosis, COVID-19, Hepatitis B and C, Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Human Papillomavirus (HPV) within resource-limited settings. The company also offers radiology and digital pathology solutions through its subsidiaries and partnerships.

Of the net fresh issue proceeds, ₹105.5 crore will fund a research and development facility and Centre of Excellence to be operated through subsidiary Bigtec, while ₹72.2 crore will go towards purchasing plant and machinery for its Goa and Visakhapatnam units. The remaining funds will be used for general corporate purposes.

According to the company, profit rose 14.8% to ₹166.6 crore for the year ended March 2026, while revenue climbed 41.7% to ₹1,445.7 crore over the same period.

The allotment is expected to be finalised by 13 August, with listing anticipated on 17 August. Kotak Mahindra Capital, IIFL Capital Services and Jefferies India are managing the issue.
