Adani AGM 2026: Group Targets 45 GW Power Capacity, 3 GW Data Centres By 2030

Gautam Adani, in his AGM speech, outlined expansion plans across power, data centres, ports, airports and defence, highlighting ₹1.5 lakh crore FY26 capex, a ₹2 lakh crore power programme and AI-driven growth.
Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani on Tuesday used his annual shareholder address to lay out a growth roadmap centred on infrastructure and artificial intelligence, while announcing major expansion plans across power, data centres, ports, airports and defence.
Addressing shareholders at the group's Annual General Meeting (AGM), Adani said this year's theme was ‘Accelerating Infrastructure, Leveraging Intelligence’. He said infrastructure and intelligence are becoming increasingly interconnected as economies rely on both physical assets and digital capabilities to drive growth. The chairman also highlighted the scale of investments made by the conglomerate during FY26.
Key Investment Highlights From Adani AGM 2026
According to Adani:

The group committed more than ₹1.5 lakh crore in capital expenditure during FY26.

The investment accounted for over 30% of India's total new private-sector capex during the year.

Shareholders backed the group through a ₹25,000-crore rights issue.
Adani said the investments were made despite the group operating under what he described as ‘extraordinary scrutiny’.
Power Expansion Takes Centre Stage
The biggest growth push is planned in the energy business, where:

Adani Power is pursuing a ₹2 lakh crore expansion programme.

The company aims to increase generation capacity to 45 GW over the next five years.

The group plans to develop 5,000 MW of hydropower capacity in Bhutan.

Data Centres And Artificial Intelligence
Adani said the group is building digital infrastructure to support the growing adoption of artificial intelligence and cloud computing, where:

The group has signed a gigawatt-scale data centre agreement with Google in Visakhapatnam.

Ports, Airports And Logistics Expansion
The chairman highlighted growth across the transport and logistics network, where:

Adani Ports handled more than 500 million tonnes of cargo during FY26.

The company continues to target 1 billion tonnes of cargo handling by 2030.

Vizhinjam Port crossed 1 million TEUs in its first year of operations.

Navi Mumbai International Airport and the new Guwahati airport terminal were showcased as major additions to the group's infrastructure portfolio.
Adani also outlined progress in defence manufacturing and technology.

Defence And Organisational Reforms
Adani also outlined progress in defence manufacturing and technology and said that the group has partnerships with Leonardo and Embraer. Adani's drones and defence systems were deployed during Operation Sindoor.
Beyond business expansion, the chairman said the group is simplifying management structures, strengthening contractor partnerships and improving worker welfare standards. He also highlighted the work of the Adani Foundation. It now:

The initiatives span 22 states and focus on healthcare, education and skill development.
