ACME Solar Commissions Additional 66.68 MW in Rajasthan; Project Capacity Reaches 200 MW
ACME Solar commissions an additional 66.68 MW in Rajasthan, taking the project’s operational solar capacity to 200.04 MW under its NTPC power agreement.

ACME Solar Holdings, through its subsidiary ACME Renewtech, has commissioned an additional 66.68 MW of solar capacity at its hybrid power project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The addition takes the project’s cumulative commissioned solar capacity to 200.04 MW out of 300 MW. The company expects to operationalise the entire solar component by the end of Q3 FY27.

ACME Solar Holdings Limited has commissioned an additional 66.68 megawatts (MW) of solar capacity at its hybrid power project in Bikaner, Rajasthan, taking the project’s cumulative commissioned solar capacity to 200.04 MW. The latest capacity was commissioned through its subsidiary, ACME Renewtech Private Limited, on November 2, with the commercial operation date (COD) set for November 4, 2026.

In a press release dated November 3, ACME Solar said the project is located at Kelan village in Bikaner district. The company has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with NTPC Limited for the project at a tariff of ₹3.36 per kilowatt-hour (kWh).

Following the latest commissioning, ACME Solar’s overall operational capacity stands at approximately 3,190 MW. The company expects to progressively operationalise the entire 300 MW solar component of the project by the end of the third quarter of FY27.

The latest addition takes the commissioned solar capacity at ACME Renewtech’s project to 200.04 MW, against the planned 300 MW solar component. The project is part of the company’s hybrid renewable energy portfolio.

The company said the addition of wind capacity to the hybrid project will complement its solar generation and support a more diversified renewable energy profile.

The project’s PPA with NTPC carries a tariff of ₹3.36 per unit. ACME Solar has indicated that the remaining solar capacity is expected to be operationalised in phases by the end of Q3 FY27.

With the latest commissioning, ACME Solar’s operational capacity has increased to approximately 3,190 MW, according to the company.

The company has a contracted portfolio of 8,370 MW across solar, wind, energy storage, firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE), and hybrid projects. It also has 5.64 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of battery energy storage system capacity.

The commissioning adds to ACME Solar’s execution progress as it expands its renewable energy portfolio and works towards operationalising projects across multiple technologies.
