Rajasthan-based temperature sensor manufacturer Tempsens Instruments (India) will open its initial public offering (IPO) for subscription on 20 August, with the price band fixed at ₹285 to ₹300 per share.

The issue closes on 24 August, and the anchor book opens a day earlier on 19 August. At the upper end of the price band, the company is seeking a market capitalisation of ₹2,515 crore.

The offering comprises a fresh issue of ₹95 crore and an offer for sale of 1.85 crore equity shares worth approximately ₹555 crore by promoters and other existing shareholders, taking the total issue size to approximately ₹650 crore.

ICICI Securities and JM Financial are the merchant bankers to the issue.

The company plans to use ₹18.1 crore for capital expenditure in its electrical heating solutions and specialised cable businesses. It will use ₹55 crore to repay debt against total consolidated outstanding borrowings of ₹108.3 crore as of July 2026. The remaining funds will go towards general corporate purposes.

Tempsens Instruments reported revenue of ₹444.9 crore in FY26, up 17.5% from ₹378.5 crore in FY25. Its profit increased 13.6% to ₹71.1 crore from ₹62.6 crore a year earlier.

Tempsens Instruments claims to be India’s largest manufacturer of contact and non-contact temperature sensors by revenue, with a 10.5% share of the overall temperature sensor market. It also claims to be the only Indian manufacturer of non-contact temperature sensors, with around 21.3% of that market in FY26, according to a Frost & Sullivan report. The company says it has no listed peers in India or overseas.
