Neuberg Diagnostics Plans IPO In Early 2027

Neuberg Diagnostics is planning to file IPO papers in early 2027 and is exploring a ₹400-500 crore pre-IPO capital raise. At the same time, its new partnership with Mahajan Imaging targets pathology, genomics and wellness services across North India.
Chennai-based Neuberg Diagnostics is preparing to tap the public markets in early 2027 while also exploring a ₹400-500 crore pre-Initial Public Offering (IPO) fundraise. The company plans to use the capital for acquisitions and expansion as it looks to grow its presence across India.
The proposed IPO is tentatively planned for calendar 2027, although the final issue size and structure have not been decided yet. Founder, Chairman and Managing Director, G.S.K. Velu, said the company is looking at a pre-IPO round, but did not disclose whether the eventual public issue will include a fresh issue, an offer for sale or a combination of both.
What Are Neuberg Diagnostics’ IPO Plans?
The company is looking to use the proposed funding to maintain its expansion pace and add scale through acquisitions. Neuberg also sees room to expand outside India, particularly in markets such as the Middle East and Africa.
Mr Velu said the company wants to continue growing faster than peers and deepen its reach in India. Neuberg expects to grow to three to four times its current size over the next five years through a mix of organic expansion and acquisitions.
The IPO plans come as the organised diagnostics industry sees increased demand for specialised testing and wellness services, along with deeper penetration into smaller cities. Investment Information and Credit Rating Agency (ICRA) expects organised diagnostic players to record revenue growth of 12-14% in FY27.
Why Has It Partnered With Mahajan Imaging?
Alongside its public market plans, Neuberg has entered into a strategic joint venture with Delhi-based Mahajan Imaging & Labs. The two companies had been discussing the partnership for nearly two years before reaching an agreement. Mahajan Imaging brings its expertise in radiology and nuclear medicine, while Neuberg adds capabilities in pathology, genomics, molecular diagnostics and related digital infrastructure.
The immediate focus will be on strengthening pathology and genomics services, improving sample collection and logistics, integrating digital systems and reducing turnaround times. The partnership will also use technology and AI in areas such as quality control, workflow management and reporting.
Mahajan Imaging has around 15 centres across Delhi-NCR and plans to expand into smaller cities and towns through a hub-and-spoke model. For Neuberg, the tie-up provides another route to build its presence in North India while bringing imaging and pathology services under a more integrated network.
The company is also looking at areas such as wellness and longevity diagnostics as part of its broader expansion strategy.
