Mount Everest Breweries Files IPO Papers
Mount Everest Breweries files ₹300-crore IPO papers with SEBI for new brewing facility.

Mount Everest Breweries has filed a DRHP for a ₹300-crore IPO comprising a fresh issue of up to 1.15 crore shares. The company plans to spend ₹230 crore on a new 1-million-HLPA brewing facility and ₹70 crore on debt repayment.

Mount Everest Breweries Limited has filed its draft papers for an initial public offering (IPO) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), setting the stage for a ₹300-crore public issue.

The Indore-based beer maker is looking to raise the money through a fresh issue of up to 1.15 crore equity shares.

The company could also raise funds through a pre-IPO placement before filing its red herring prospectus with the Registrar of Companies. Any money raised in that round will be deducted from the fresh issue.

A major portion of the IPO proceeds will go towards setting up a new brewing facility. Mount Everest Breweries has earmarked ₹230 crore for the proposed plant, which will have a capacity of 1 million hectolitres per annum (HLPA).

The company plans to use another ₹70 crore to repay or pre-pay some of its borrowings. Whatever remains after these expenses will be available for general corporate purposes.

The company’s revenue from operations rose to ₹1,017.8 crore in FY26 from ₹546.6 crore in FY24. Net profit also increased to ₹53.18 crore from ₹20.36 crore over the same period.

Mount Everest Breweries started operations in 1999 and makes beer across economy, core and premium categories.

The company had a production-volume market share of around 36.3% in Madhya Pradesh in FY26. Its products are sold across 16 states and three Union Territories.

Its own brands include Mount's 6000, Lemount, Mount's Lager, Dabang and Stok.

The company currently has two brewing facilities. Its Simrol plant in Indore has been operating since 2008. Mount Everest Breweries acquired its Mysuru facility in 2025.

The business is not limited to its own brands. The company also provides contract brewing and contract manufacturing services for other beer companies. It has a brewing arrangement in Assam to supply the North-East market.

As of 31 August 2026, Mount Everest Breweries products were available through 22,229 retail outlets and other touchpoints across the country.
