Karamtara Engineering IPO: ₹875-Crore Issue To Open For Subscription On 9 September

Karamtara Engineering has finalised the structure of its IPO, with a mix of new shares and an OFS by promoters. The price band was fixed at ₹241-254, and the issue is to open on 9 September.

Other Key Details Of Karamtara Engineering IPO
The ₹875 crore Karamtara Engineering IPO comprises a ₹675 crore fresh issue and a ₹200 crore offer for sale (OFS) by promoters Tanveer Singh and Rajiv Singh.
The issue size has been reduced from the ₹1,750 crore offering proposed in the draft papers filed in January 2025. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) approved the company’s IPO documents in June 2025.
IPO Lot Size And Investment Details
The minimum bid size has been fixed at 59 equity shares, with investors allowed to bid in multiples of 59 shares.
At the upper end of the price band, one lot will cost a retail investor ₹14,986. The maximum amount a retail investor can apply for is ₹1,94,818.
Ahead of the IPO, Karamtara completed a private placement of 24.19 lakh compulsorily convertible preference shares (CCPS) at ₹310 per share. Amara Partners subscribed to the issue, helping the company raise ₹75 crore. The amount was later adjusted against the fresh issue.
How Karamtara Will Use The IPO Funds
Karamtara plans to use most of the net proceeds from the fresh issue to reduce its debt.
The company will allocate ₹600 crore towards the repayment of certain borrowings. The remaining proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.
As of July 2026, Karamtara had standalone outstanding borrowings of ₹1,344.4 crore. It also had outstanding acceptances under letters of credit worth ₹735.1 crore.
Renewable Energy Expansion Adds To Growth Plans
Karamtara manufactures solar mounting structures, tracker components and transmission-line hardware, fittings and accessories. The company has also entered the wind-energy segment, where it manufactures angular and tubular towers for wind turbines.
It plans to expand further into renewable energy through Karamtara Green Energy. The company is also planning a battery energy storage system business and manufacturing facilities for prefabricated engineered building structures.
Karamtara reported a 36.5% rise in revenue to ₹4,312 crore in FY26. Profit increased 64.2% to ₹228.8 crore during the year.
