Juniper Green Energy Listing: Shares Debut At 9% Premium Above IPO Price

Juniper Green Energy shares made a decent stock market debut on Thursday, listing at a premium of 9% over the initial public offering (IPO) price after the renewable energy company's ₹1,800 crore public issue drew strong demand from investors.
The stock opened at ₹245 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). On the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), it debuted at ₹242 apiece. The IPO, which comprised a fresh issue of 8 crore equity shares, was priced in the range of ₹214-225 per share.
Juniper Green Energy IPO Subscription
Investor response during the Juniper Green Energy IPO subscription period remained healthy. The issue was subscribed 7.97 times overall. The strong participation from qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) stood out, with the category attracting bids nearly 25 times the shares reserved for it. Also:

ICICI Securities acted as the book-running lead manager for the issue, while KFin Technologies was the registrar.
IPO Funds Earmarked For Debt Reduction
Juniper Green Energy plans to use a large part of the IPO proceeds to reduce debt and strengthen its balance sheet.
The company will utilise ₹683.24 crore to repay or prepay its own borrowings. It will also invest ₹728.69 crore in its material subsidiaries, enabling them to repay outstanding loans.
Together, around ₹1,411.92 crore of the IPO proceeds will go towards debt reduction. The remaining amount will be used for general corporate purposes.
Revenue And Profit Grow In FY26
The company reported higher revenue and profit in FY26. Total income rose 41% to ₹804.93 crore from ₹569.78 crore in FY25. Profit after tax increased 11% to ₹40.46 crore from ₹36.48 crore a year earlier.
Juniper Green Energy develops, builds, owns, operates and maintains utility-scale renewable energy projects across solar, wind, hybrid and Firm & Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) segments. Its portfolio is also supported by Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
The company said its business is supported by long-term power purchase agreements with central and state government-backed entities, providing stable revenue visibility.
As of 30 June 2026, Juniper Green Energy had a renewable energy portfolio of 7,910.20 MW (10,247.06 MWp), including operational, under-construction, contracted and awarded projects. The company ranks among India's top 10 renewable energy independent power producers by installed and pipeline capacity.
