Westlife Foodworld Q2 FY27 Results: Revenue Rises 16%, But Higher Expenses Push Company Into Quarterly Loss
Westlife Foodworld reports 16.3% revenue growth to ₹746.73 crore but posts a ₹2.04 crore net loss in Q2 FY27.

Westlife Foodworld reported a 16.3% year-on-year increase in consolidated revenue for Q2 FY27, but slipped into a net loss of ₹2.04 crore. The previous year’s quarter had benefited from a property redevelopment gain. Shares rose 0.69% during trading on 23 October 2026.

Westlife Foodworld Limited, the operator of McDonald’s restaurants across western and southern India, reported consolidated revenue growth for the quarter ended 30 September 2026. Revenue from operations increased to ₹746.73 crore from ₹641.85 crore a year earlier, according to its unaudited financial results approved by the board on 23 October.

Total income rose to ₹752.59 crore from ₹652.55 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. However, the improvement in revenue did not translate into a profit, with the company reporting a loss after tax for the period.

The comparison was also affected by exceptional items in the previous year, when a property redevelopment transaction generated a gain, partly offset by an investment impairment. The latest quarter did not report these exceptional items.

Westlife Foodworld shares were trading at ₹539.05 at 1.17 pm IST, up ₹3.70, or 0.69%, against the previous close of ₹535.35, on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

The stock touched an intraday high of ₹564.80 and a low of ₹512.00. Trading volume stood at 17.53 lakh shares, with a traded value of ₹95.07 crore.

Figures are based on the company’s consolidated unaudited financial statements. EPS refers to earnings per share.

The company’s consolidated expenses totalled ₹755.29 crore, exceeding its total income. Costs included materials consumed, employee benefits, finance costs, depreciation and amortisation, and other expenses.

The absence of the previous year’s property redevelopment gain also affected the year-on-year profit comparison. Westlife Foodworld’s results were subject to a limited review by its statutory auditors.

The company’s latest filing covers both the quarter and half-year ended 30 September 2026, with its restaurant operations continuing to constitute a single business segment focused on the Indian market.
