Indian equities ended lower on Friday, 7 August, as financial stocks and rising oil prices weighed on sentiment. The Nifty 50 fell 0.27% to 24,570.65, while the Sensex declined 0.58% to 78,499.17. Despite the day's losses, both benchmarks posted weekly gains of 0.8% and 0.5%, respectively.
Key Stocks To Watch
Titan Company
Titan Company posted a consolidated net profit of ₹1,699 crore for the first quarter of FY27, marking a 65% increase from ₹1,030 crore a year earlier. Revenue rose 24.3% year-on-year to ₹18,101 crore from ₹14,564 crore.
NLC India
State-owned NLC India reported a 39.3% year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit to ₹484.2 crore for Q1 FY27, compared with ₹797.5 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue from operations, however, increased 23.3% to ₹4,716.7 crore from ₹3,825.6 crore.
Hitachi Energy India
Hitachi Energy India's consolidated net profit more than doubled to ₹294.2 crore in the April-June quarter from ₹132 crore a year earlier. Revenue from operations climbed 68.6% year-on-year to ₹2,493.7 crore, comfortably ahead of the ₹2,075.8 crore estimate.
Apollo Micro Systems
Apollo Micro Systems reported a 42.1% year-on-year increase in net profit at ₹27 crore for the June quarter, compared with ₹19 crore in the same period last year. Revenue from operations surged 88% to ₹251.3 crore from ₹133.6 crore.
Power Finance Corporation
Power Finance Corporation reported a 2.1% year-on-year rise in net profit to ₹7,012 crore for the quarter ended 30 June 2026. The Maharatna public sector lender had reported a profit of ₹6,866 crore in the year-ago period.
Kaynes Technology
Kaynes Technology India reported a 24.4% year-on-year decline in net profit to ₹56 crore for Q1 FY27, compared with ₹75 crore in the same quarter last year.
Anant Raj
Anant Raj reported a 19% year-on-year increase in net profit to ₹150 crore for the June quarter, against ₹126 crore a year earlier. Revenue increased 7% to ₹631 crore from ₹592 crore, while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 22% year-on-year to ₹183 crore from ₹151 crore.
Delhivery
Delhivery reported a 65% year-on-year decline in net profit to ₹31.9 crore for the June quarter, compared with ₹91.1 crore in the corresponding period last year. Revenue from operations, however, increased 28% to ₹2,930.7 crore from ₹2,294 crore.
Oil India
Oil India delivered a strong sequential improvement in its June-quarter performance. Standalone net profit rose to ₹2,870.2 crore for the June quarter, compared with ₹1,789.5 crore in the March quarter.
The improvement was supported by higher revenue from crude oil and natural gas, along with stronger operating profitability.
NTPC Green Energy
NTPC Green Energy said it emerged as the successful bidder in an e-reverse auction conducted by West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company (WBSEDCL) for standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in West Bengal.
The company secured 200 MW/800 MWh of BESS capacity at a discovered tariff of ₹4.35 lakh per MW per month under the tender.
Ola Electric Mobility
Ola Electric Mobility reported a mixed performance for Q1 FY27. Its net loss narrowed to ₹336 crore from ₹426 crore in the same quarter last year, despite a sharp decline in revenue.
The electric two-wheeler manufacturer also recorded a significant sequential improvement in vehicle registrations during the quarter.
Lemon Tree Hotels
Lemon Tree Hotels reported a 20.1% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit attributable to equity holders of the parent. Profit stood at ₹46 crore for the quarter ended 30 June 2026, compared with ₹38.3 crore a year earlier.
Vedanta Aluminium Metal
Vedanta Aluminium Metal said its subsidiary, Bharat Aluminium Company (BALCO), had been named the preferred bidder for the Karlapat Bauxite Block in Odisha. The block was awarded following an auction conducted by the Directorate of Mines and Geology, Government of Odisha.
Eveready Industries
Eveready Industries reported a 23.3% year-on-year increase in net profit to ₹37 crore for the first quarter of FY27. Revenue from operations grew 9% to ₹407.7 crore during the quarter.
