Indian equities ended lower on Tuesday as rising crude oil prices weighed on investor sentiment. The Nifty 50 declined 0.46% to 24,471.70, while the Sensex fell 0.49% to 78,154.25. Financial stocks led the decline, while consumer companies also came under pressure.
Key Stocks In Focus
JSW Dulux
JSW Dulux Ltd posted a 12.42% year-on-year decline in net profit for the first quarter of FY27. Profit fell to ₹79.7 crore from ₹91 crore in the corresponding quarter a year earlier. Revenue also declined 2.8% year-on-year to ₹965 crore, compared with ₹993.1 crore in Q1 FY26.
Manappuram Finance
Manappuram Finance reported a sharp increase in first-quarter net profit, which rose to ₹584.5 crore from ₹138.3 crore in the same period last year. Net interest income increased 28.1% year-on-year to ₹1,723.8 crore, compared with ₹1,345.3 crore previously.
Tenneco Clean Air India
Tenneco Clean Air India's promoter, Tenneco Mauritius, is reportedly looking to sell an 8% stake in the company through a block deal. The transaction also includes an option to increase the stake being sold by a further 2%, according to the deal terms.
Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital
Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital is expected to see a block deal involving Hyperion Investments Pte. Ltd, a TPG Private Equity vehicle, and Claymore Investments (Mauritius) Pte. Ltd, a Temasek Holdings private equity vehicle. Together, the investors are set to sell an 11% stake in the company.
Linde India
Linde India's consolidated net profit declined 2.4% year-on-year to ₹104.6 crore for the quarter ended 30 June 2026. The company had reported a profit of ₹107.2 crore during the same quarter a year earlier.
Bata India
Bata India reported a 23.1% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit for the June quarter, with profit rising to ₹64 crore from ₹52 crore. Revenue from operations grew 3.9% to ₹979 crore, compared with ₹942 crore in Q1 FY26. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased 2.6% year-on-year to ₹204 crore from ₹199 crore.
Zydus Lifesciences
Zydus Lifesciences' wholly owned subsidiary, Sentynl Therapeutics, has signed an option and licence agreement with Mereo BioPharma concerning alvelestat. The experimental drug is being developed for Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency-Associated Lung Disease (AATD-LD), a rare genetic respiratory condition.
RHI Magnesita India
RHI Magnesita India reported an 83.2% year-on-year jump in consolidated net profit to ₹64.6 crore for the June quarter. The refractory products manufacturer improved its margins despite continued pressure from input costs and pricing. Revenue from operations increased 5.6% year-on-year to ₹1,014 crore from ₹960.3 crore.
NBCC (India)
State-owned NBCC (India) reported a 17.2% year-on-year increase in net profit to ₹154.8 crore for the June quarter. The improvement came despite a decline in revenue, which fell 6% year-on-year to ₹2,259.5 crore.
BEML
BEML said on Tuesday, 11 August, that it had received an order worth ₹184.25 crore from Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL). The contract covers the manufacture and supply of fuselage aerostructures for Light Combat Helicopters (LCH).
Larsen & Toubro
Larsen & Toubro has entered into agreements with its wholly owned subsidiary Vyoma.AI Limited for the transfer of its Data Centre and Cloud Services Business for ₹1,400 crore. Separately, the infrastructure major will sell its entire stake in L&T Network Services Private Ltd (LTNSPL) for ₹30 crore.
HG Infra Engineering
HG Infra Engineering has received a Letter of Award from the Department of Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship, Government of Rajasthan. The contract involves operating and managing the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Bhiwadi Cluster under Component-I of the Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs (PM-SETU) initiative.
