Indian markets ended marginally higher as Vodafone Idea, Bharat Electronics, Gland Pharma, Lupin and other companies reported key developments, while several firms are set to announce Q1 FY27 results.

Indian equities ended largely flat on Monday, 10 August, as strong domestic earnings and lower expectations of near-term US rate hikes offset pressure from rising crude oil prices. The Nifty 50 edged up 0.05% to 24,583.80. The Sensex gained 0.06% to 78,542.44.

Vodafone Idea

Vodafone Idea reported a consolidated net loss of ₹3,754 crore for the June quarter, compared with a profit of ₹51,970 crore in the previous quarter. However, the preceding quarter's profit was largely driven by a ₹57,491 crore exceptional gain. The telecom operator recorded an exceptional gain of ₹1,611 crore during the June quarter.

Bharat Electronics

Defence public sector undertaking Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) has received additional orders worth ₹541 crore since its previous disclosure on 31 July 2026. The latest orders cover a range of products and services, including communication equipment, electro-optics, ammunition fuzes, chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) systems, spares and related services.

Gland Pharma

Gland Pharma reported a 47.1% year-on-year rise in net profit to ₹317 crore for the June quarter, compared with ₹215 crore in Q1 FY26. The pharmaceutical company's profit after tax margin expanded by around 330 basis points year-on-year. Revenue increased 19.6% to ₹1,800.2 crore from ₹1,505.6 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Jubilant Pharmova

Jubilant Pharmova reported a 45.1% year-on-year decline in consolidated profit after tax attributable to owners. Profit after tax (PAT) stood at ₹56.4 crore for the quarter ended 30 June 2026, compared with ₹102.5 crore in the same quarter a year earlier.

Lumax Auto Technologies

Lumax Auto Technologies reported a strong performance in the first quarter of FY27, with consolidated net profit more than doubling year-on-year to ₹86.6 crore from ₹41.4 crore.

Revenue from operations increased 33% to ₹1,363.6 crore from ₹1,026.4 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 52.3% to ₹190.1 crore from ₹124.8 crore, while the EBITDA margin improved to 14% from 12.2%.

Kolte Patil Developers

Kolte Patil Developers reported a sharp turnaround in its first-quarter performance, posting a net profit of ₹146.3 crore compared with a loss of ₹17 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Revenue for Q1 FY27 stood at ₹919.5 crore, against ₹82.4 crore reported in the year-ago quarter.

KEC International

KEC International reported a weaker operating performance in the first quarter of FY27. Net profit fell 41.7% year on year to ₹72.6 crore from ₹124.6 crore. Revenue remained broadly unchanged at ₹5,024 crore. EBITDA declined 16.9% to ₹290.8 crore from ₹350.1 crore, while the EBITDA margin contracted to 6% from 7%.

Lupin

Lupin announced that it has received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) for its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) covering Sodium Zirconium Cyclosilicate for Oral Suspension. The approval applies to the 5g per packet and 10g per packet strengths.

Lloyds Metals & Energy

Lloyds Metals & Energy reported a substantial improvement in its June-quarter results. Net profit increased to ₹1,726 crore from ₹651 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue surged to ₹7,354.3 crore from ₹2,383.5 crore, while EBITDA climbed to ₹2,781.4 crore compared with ₹805.7 crore a year earlier.
