6 Stocks Hit Fresh Record Highs Today Despite Market Weakness: Anthem Biosciences, Divi’s Labs, TVS Motor

Anthem Biosciences, Divi’s Laboratories, TVS Motor and three other stocks hit fresh record highs despite a weak broader market on Wednesday.
A handful of stocks bucked the broader market trend on Wednesday, August 26, climbing to fresh record highs even as the benchmark indices came under pressure in afternoon trade.
Anthem Biosciences, Karur Vysya Bank, Divi’s Laboratories, Laurus Labs, IPCA Laboratories and TVS Motor Company were among the stocks scaling their highest-ever levels during the session.
The move came against a relatively weak market backdrop. At 2:30 PM, the Sensex was almost flat at 77,633.74, while the Nifty 50 was down 57.15 points, or 0.23%, at 24,277.40. Selling in IT and consumer durable stocks kept the benchmarks under pressure, while oil-linked counters found support from the continued fall in crude prices.
The record highs, therefore, were largely driven by stock-specific factors, with recent earnings and expectations around individual businesses keeping buying interest intact.
Anthem Biosciences hits record high despite weaker Q1
Anthem Biosciences was among the notable movers, touching Rs 914.70, its highest level since listing.
The stock has had a strong run this year, gaining around 44% in 2026 and 16% over the past month. It has also recovered sharply from its recent levels despite a softer June quarter.
The contract research, development and manufacturing company reported a 12% decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 120 crore in Q1 FY27. Revenue fell 23% year-on-year to Rs 418 crore.
The stock's record-high move comes even as investors weigh the near-term earnings performance against the company's longer-term growth prospects.
Divi’s Laboratories extends pharma rally
Divi’s Laboratories also reached a fresh peak of Rs 9,016.50.
The pharmaceutical company's June-quarter numbers provided a stronger earnings backdrop. Net profit rose 66% year-on-year to Rs 902 crore, while revenue increased 28% to Rs 3,080 crore.
Operating performance improved even more sharply. EBITDA rose 72% to Rs 1,255 crore, pushing the margin to 41% from 30% a year earlier.
TVS Motor at record high after strong quarter
TVS Motor Company touched Rs 4,484.50, extending its gains after reporting record quarterly revenue.
Revenue for Q1 FY27 rose 38% year-on-year to Rs 13,896 crore, while EBITDA increased 41% to Rs 1,779 crore. Profit after tax rose 51% to Rs 1,174 crore.
The company's EBITDA margin improved to 12.8% from 12.5% in the year-ago quarter. The reported profit also included a Rs 150 crore fair-value gain on investments.
Karur Vysya Bank, Laurus Labs, IPCA also at record levels
Karur Vysya Bank climbed to an all-time high of Rs 358.65, extending the recent strength in the private banking counter. The lender's June-quarter performance, supported by higher interest income and lower provisions, has helped keep investor interest firm.
Laurus Labs touched Rs 1,895, while IPCA Laboratories reached Rs 1,992, taking both pharmaceutical stocks to fresh record levels.
The divergence between the benchmarks and these individual stocks highlights the stock-specific nature of Wednesday's trade. While the broader market remained cautious, earnings momentum and expectations around individual companies continued to attract buyers in select counters.
