Siemens Q1 FY 2026-27 Results: Net Profit Jumps 5X To Rs 2,143 Crore, EBITDA Margin Contracts

Siemens Q1 FY 2026-27 Results: Siemens reported a sharp jump in June quarter net profit, driven largely by a one-time gain from the sale of its LVM business, even as underlying operating performance weakened with EBITDA margin contracting during the period. The company said order income grew during the quarter, led by strong demand across its Smart Infrastructure and Digital Industries businesses.
Siemens Q1 FY 2026-27 Results: Heavy electrical equipment maker Siemens Ltd reported its financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, on Tuesday, August 11.
Net profit attributable to owners of the company rose 407% year-on-year to Rs 2,143 crore, compared with Rs 423 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The sharp increase came on account of a one-time gain of Rs 2,099 crore from the completed sale of its LVM business. Excluding this gain, net profit for the quarter stood at Rs 343 crore. The company said profitability during the quarter was impacted by volatility in commodity prices and foreign exchange, along with an increase in material costs.
Revenue from operations rose 15% year-on-year to Rs 4,714 crore, compared with Rs 4,108 crore in the year-ago period.
EBITDA declined 17% year-on-year to Rs 431 crore, reflecting weak operational performance during the quarter. EBITDA margin contracted by 340 basis points to 9.15%.
Business Performance
Revenue from the Smart Infrastructure business rose 11% year-on-year to Rs 2,632.5 crore, while revenue from the Mobility business advanced 13% to Rs 933 crore. Revenue from the Digital Industries business jumped 25% to Rs 1,144 crore.
Order income increased 16.5% year-on-year to Rs 6,328 crore, compared with Rs 5,431 crore in the year-ago period. "The corresponding quarter of the previous year included a large order for signalling and train control technologies for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail corridor. Excluding the impact of this order, Order Income growth was 43.9%. Digital Industries received orders for automation solutions for solar cell manufacturing and across metals, electronics, pharmaceuticals and water market segments. Smart Infrastructure continues to show very robust growth across grid modernization projects, data centres and commercial real estate. The Mobility business showed good growth in the quarter in the Rolling Stock business," Siemens said.
Management Commentary
Commenting on the results, Sunil Mathur, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Siemens, said domestic demand remained strong during the quarter, with ordering activity from both the private and public sectors. He said this was reflected in the company's strong new order growth, primarily driven by the Smart Infrastructure business, adding that the company's focus continues to be on profitable growth across all its businesses.
