Protean eGov Technologies Limited shares jumped 20% on 21 September 2026, snapping out of its months-long slump. The sharp increase was despite the stock being down 21.76% YTD. The stock has also been under pressure in recent months due to disappointing quarterly results.
Protean eGov shares closed at ₹588.35 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), up 20% from the previous close of ₹490.30. The stock opened at ₹493 and touched a high of ₹588.35, while the day's low stood at ₹491.50.
Protean eGov Stock Sees Resistance Zone After Rally
The stock's rally was accompanied by a sharp rise in trading volumes. It has also moved up from levels near its 52-week low.
After the move, specific technical levels are also being monitored. It could move around ₹610 before hitting major resistance.
The stock is bullish but overbought on daily charts. For it, ₹621 is identified as the next resistance level. It is also expected that a daily close below ₹551 could lead to a fall towards ₹493 in the near term.
Protean eGov Q1 FY2026-27 Results
The significant move in Protean eGov share price comes against a mixed Q1 FY27 performance. Consolidated revenue from operations increased 19% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹251 crore from ₹211 crore in the year-ago quarter.
However, consolidated net profit after tax (PAT) fell 75% YoY to ₹6 crore from ₹24 crore. Consolidated earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) also declined 38% YoY to ₹28 crore from ₹45 crore in Q1 FY26.
