Lenskart Shares Fall After ₹2,468 Crore
Lenskart shares came under pressure after a block deal worth ₹2,468 crore changed hands at ₹688 per share.

Lenskart shares came under pressure after a ₹2,468 crore block deal involving 3.6 crore shares, equivalent to 2.07% of the company's equity. The transaction was executed at ₹688 per share and followed two other sizeable block deals in August.

As shares of Lenskart Solutions Limited came under pressure in early trade on 21 September 2026, a ₹2,468 crore block deal put the stock in focus. Around 3.6 crore shares, representing 2.07% of the company's equity, changed hands at ₹688 apiece.

The transaction adds to a series of sizeable secondary-market deals in Lenskart shares in recent weeks. Lenskart share price was at ₹692 in Monday’s early trade, down 2.2%. Despite the decline, the stock had gained 57.5% so far in 2026, compared with a 10.7% decline in the Nifty 50. The company’s market capitalisation stood at around ₹1.2 lakh crore.

On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), Lenskart shares were trading at ₹686.35 at 1:31 pm, down 2.95% from the previous close of ₹707.20. After opening at ₹687.90, the stock touched a high of ₹698.30 and fell to a low of ₹683.00.

The current transaction size was larger than the deal that had been indicated earlier. The earlier proposed transaction was linked to reports that Platinum Jasmine A 2018 Trust was looking to sell shares in the company. The proposed sale had initially been pegged at around ₹2,047.4 crore, covering about 1.7% of the equity at a floor price of ₹682.45 per share.

That floor price represented a 3.5% discount to Lenskart's previous closing price. Shares sold through the transaction were also subject to a 90-day lock-up on any further sale, according to the earlier deal terms.

The latest Lenskart block deal follows two other sizeable transactions in August. In late August, Alpha Wave Ventures sold 2.95 crore shares, representing 1.7% of the company's equity, for ₹1,857 crore at an average price of ₹630 per share.

During that transaction:

  • The National Pension System bought 78.57 lakh shares (0.45% equity) for ₹495 crore.

  • ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund purchased 60.3 lakh shares (0.35% equity) for ₹380 crore.

  • WhiteOak Capital Mutual Fund also acquired 15.87 lakh shares (0.1% equity) for ₹100 crore.

Earlier in August, SVF II Lightbulb sold 4.5 crore Lenskart shares worth ₹2,887.9 crore in a transaction on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). Societe Generale ODI purchased 1.07 crore shares worth ₹688.92 crore in that transaction at an average price of ₹641.75 per share.

The latest Lenskart share price movement comes after the company reported Q1 FY27 financial performance. Net profit increased to ₹222 crore from ₹60 crore in the year-ago quarter.

Revenue rose 43.3% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹2,714.2 crore. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased 75.1% to ₹588.5 crore. The EBITDA margin widened to 21.7% from 17.7%.

The company's profit after tax (PAT) margin increased by 443 basis points (bps) to 8.4%. Consolidated product margin also crossed 70% for the first time, reaching 70.3% during the quarter.
