Pfizer Q2 FY27 results show standalone revenue growth of 13.2% and profit growth of 13.9%.

Pfizer Limited reported standalone Q2 FY27 revenue from operations of ₹726.86 crore, up 13.2% YoY. Reported net profit increased 65.7% to ₹313.25 crore, aided by a one-time exceptional gain of ₹132.06 crore.

Pfizer Limited reported standalone revenue from operations of ₹726.86 crore in Q2 FY27, an increase of 13.2% year on year (YoY). Net profit rose 65.7% to ₹313.25 crore, partly reflecting a one-time exceptional gain related to the discontinuation of Minipress XL.

The exceptional gain was ₹132.06 crore, net of related expenses, after Pfizer Inc. in the US decided to discontinue manufacturing the medicine with effect from 7 September 2026. Pfizer Limited will receive a lump-sum payment in connection with the discontinuation of its marketing, distribution and sale in India.

The Pfizer share price closed at ₹3,821.60 on 03 November, up 5.03% on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

Profit before tax (PBT) and exceptional items increased 13.9% to ₹290.77 crore. After including the exceptional gain, PBT stood at ₹422.83 crore.

Earnings per share (EPS) before exceptional items increased to ₹47.09 from ₹41.32 in the year-ago quarter, reflecting the underlying earnings improvement without the one-time gain. EPS after exceptional items was ₹68.47.

Other income increased to ₹47.33 crore from ₹41.85 crore. Total expenses rose to ₹483.42 crore from ₹428.82 crore. Among the major expense categories, purchases of stock-in-trade stood at ₹206.28 crore, while employee benefits expense was ₹91.43 crore.

For the six months ended September 2026, revenue from operations increased 10.8% to ₹1,380.03 crore. Profit before exceptional items and tax grew 10.2% to ₹567.45 crore.

Reported net profit for the half year increased 36% to ₹517.72 crore, including the exceptional gain recognised during the September quarter. EPS before exceptional items rose to ₹91.80 from ₹83.23, while EPS after exceptional items stood at ₹113.17.

The company also reported net cash generated from operating activities of ₹358.99 crore during the half year, compared with ₹599.47 crore in the corresponding period last year. The decline was partly influenced by the movement in income tax payments.

The company had paid its final dividend of ₹75 per equity share for FY26 on 4 August 2026, following shareholder approval at its annual general meeting.
