How Did Nestle India Perform In Q1 FY27?
Nestle India's Q1 FY27 results were driven by broad-based growth across its food and beverage portfolio. Prepared dishes, nutrition, confectionery and coffee all contributed to higher sales during the quarter.
Maggi remained at the centre of the company's prepared dishes business with limited-edition launches and brand collaborations, including a merchandise partnership with Uniqlo. The nutrition segment also gained momentum, with infant nutrition products improving sequentially and everyday milk powder returning to growth in priority markets. Products aimed at toddlers continued to expand their market share.
The confectionery business outpaced the broader category, helped by higher investments behind key brands, premium products and the KitKat collaboration with One Piece. In beverages, Nescafe Classic and Nescafe Sunrise registered high double-digit volume growth, while premium coffee offerings and the ready-to-drink portfolio continued to scale up.
What Did Nestle India Management Say?
Nestle said the commodity environment remains uneven despite signs of improvement in some raw materials. Coffee supply is expected to improve because of higher production in Brazil and Vietnam, although weather-related disruptions could create short-term volatility.
The company said cocoa continues to face weather-related challenges, while sugar prices have strengthened after lower crop estimates. Edible oil prices remain elevated despite stabilising, and inflationary pressure persists in dairy-based proteins as demand continues to outpace supply.
