Molbio Diagnostics Share Price Falls Over 8% After Two-Day Sell-Off

Molbio Diagnostics shares fell 8.8% on 16 September, extending their decline to 18.5% over two sessions. Despite the correction, the stock remains more than 50% above its ₹807 IPO price
Molbio Diagnostics shares came under pressure on Wednesday, 16 September, with the recently listed stock falling nearly 9% during the session.
The shares touched an intraday low of ₹1,229.65 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), down 8.8% from the previous close. This was the second straight session of decline for the stock, even as the broader market traded higher.
Molbio Diagnostics stock had gained around 13% in the week before the latest fall. After Wednesday's decline, the stock was down about 18.5% over the past two sessions.
Stock Still Up Over 50% From IPO Price
Despite the recent correction, the Molbio Diagnostics share price remains well above its IPO price of ₹807.
The company listed on 17 August at ₹980 a share, giving investors a 21.44% premium over the issue price. The stock went on to climb further and hit a 52-week high of ₹1,686.50 on 11 September. Its 52-week low of ₹925.80 was recorded on the listing day.
Even after the latest fall, the stock has gained around 75% over the past month, showing how sharply it had moved before the recent profit booking.
Strong Q1FY27 Performance
Molbio Diagnostics had reported a sharp improvement in its financial performance for the April-June quarter of FY27.
Consolidated net profit attributable to owners stood at ₹58.74 crore, compared with a net loss of ₹23.74 crore in the same quarter last year.
Revenue from operations rose 309% year-on-year to ₹408 crore from ₹100 crore. The company also reported a positive operational earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of ₹101 crore for the quarter.
