Meesho shares rose as much as 5% on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday after the e-commerce company reported a strong opening to its Mega Blockbuster Sale 2026. Orders on the first day were up 75% from a year earlier.
Demand picked up quickly after the sale went live. Meesho said orders crossed 75,000 per minute within the first 15 minutes. The number of customers placing orders during the day was also 60% higher year-on-year.
Fashion, home and kitchen, beauty and personal care, kids' products and electronic accessories were among the categories that saw strong demand.
At 10:40 AM, the Meesho share price stood at ₹242.94 apiece, up 4.38% from the previous session’s closing.
Meesho Mall Orders More Than Triple
Orders on Meesho Mall, the company's platform for branded products, grew more than 200% on the first day of the sale.
The increase was not limited to larger cities. The number of shoppers from Tier-3 and smaller markets buying through Meesho Mall nearly tripled from last year. More than one in three customers also bought from the platform for the first time.
Meesho Mall carries products from over 1,000 brands. Among first-time buyers, beauty and personal care was the most popular category. Face washes, perfumes, soaps and skincare products led purchases, followed by health and wellness products and footwear.
Creator-Led Orders Rise 3.7 Times
Meesho also reported a sharp increase in orders coming through content commerce, its creator-led shopping channel. Orders through the segment rose around 3.7 times year-on-year on the opening day.
Smaller creators accounted for most of the active creator base. Those with fewer than 10,000 followers made up 90% of active creators, while 81% were based outside metro cities.
The latest figures follow a broader rise in the company's creator-led business. Meesho had reported a 152% year-on-year increase in net merchandise value (NMV) from content commerce between 1 August 2025 and 31 August 2026.
Around 1.6 lakh active creators participated in the segment over that period. Tier-3 and Tier-4 markets accounted for 66% of orders generated through Content Commerce.
The opening-day update shows growth across Meesho's main shopping platform, its branded product offering and creator-led sales as the festive shopping season gets underway.
