JSW Cement Commissions 1 MTPA Nagaur Unit, Takes Total Grinding Capacity To 25.1 MTPA In North India Expansion

JSW Cement has commissioned a 1 million tonne per annum grinding unit at Nagaur, Rajasthan. This takes its total grinding capacity to 25.1 MTPA and strengthens its North India presence.
JSW Cement Limited has commissioned an additional 1 million tonne per annum (MTPA) cement grinding unit at its Nagaur Integrated Plant in Rajasthan, taking the company's total installed grinding capacity to 25.10 MTPA.
The expansion strengthens JSW Cement's presence in North India since the new facility will cater to demand across Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and the National Capital Region (NCR). The company had entered the North Indian market in March 2026 with the commissioning of the Nagaur plant.
On 6 October, the JSW Cement share price closed at ₹113.20 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), an increase of almost 2%.
How Has The Nagaur Plant Expanded?
The Nagaur Integrated Plant comprises a 3.30 MTPA clinkerisation unit and the earlier 2.50 MTPA grinding unit. The newly commissioned unit takes the Nagaur plant's total cement grinding capacity to 3.50 MTPA from 2.50 MTPA. The expansion has been funded through a combination of equity and long-term debt.
The commissioning was completed within the expected timeline, according to the company. The move also gives JSW Cement additional capacity in a region where it is building its presence following its recent entry.
JSW Cement's total clinker manufacturing capacity, including the capacity of its joint venture JSW Cement FZC, stands at 9.74 MTPA.
What Other Facilities Were Commissioned At Nagaur?
JSW Cement also commissioned an Alternate Fuel Handling System and a Waste Heat Recovery System (WHRS) at the Nagaur plant during the same quarter.
The company expects these systems to substantially reduce production costs going forward. The WHRS is designed to recover energy from the manufacturing process, while the alternate fuel system supports the use of alternative fuels.

JSW Cement is a green cement producer and part of the JSW Group. Its product portfolio includes blended cement such as Portland Slag Cement (PSC), Portland Composite Cement (PCC) and Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC), along with Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC), clinker and Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBS).
The company also manufactures allied cementitious products including ready-mix concrete, construction chemicals and waterproofing compounds. It operates nine plants across India and also has a clinker unit through JSW Cement FZC in the United Arab Emirates.
