Jindal Stainless And Indian Oil Extend Lubricants Partnership For Five Years, Deepen Technical Collaboration

Jindal Stainless Indian Oil partnership has been renewed for another five years, extending the companies’ lubricants VMI arrangement. The agreement was signed at Jindal Stainless’ Hisar unit.
Jindal Stainless Limited informed the exchanges about the renewal of its lubricants partnership with Indian Oil Corporation Limited through a regulatory filing dated 05 October 2026. The two companies have extended their lubricants Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) arrangement for another five years, continuing a long-standing association between the organisations.
The formal agreement was signed at Jindal Stainless’ Hisar unit. The ceremony was attended by senior representatives from both companies, including Indian Oil’s Executive Director for the Northern Region and State Head, DSO, Hemant Rathore, and Jindal Stainless’ Hisar Unit Head, Vijay Bindlish.

Jindal Stainless shares were trading at ₹740.90, up 1.16%. The stock opened at ₹735.95 against its previous close of ₹732.40.

Indian Oil shares were trading at ₹130.25, down 1.33%. The stock opened at ₹132.10 against its previous close of ₹132.
Indian Oil Supplies Multiple Energy Products To Jindal Stainless
The renewed lubricants partnership extends beyond the supply of lubricants, with the companies’ relationship also covering broader energy requirements. Indian Oil supplies light diesel oil (LDO), high-speed diesel (HSD), low sulphur heavy stock (LSHS) and propane to Jindal Stainless.
The extended agreement is also positioned around reliability, operational efficiency and maintaining manufacturing continuity. For Jindal Stainless, dependable lubrication and energy solutions are important as industrial operations place greater emphasis on equipment performance and reliability.
Jindal Stainless And Indian Oil Look To Expand Technical Cooperation
The five-year renewal also creates an opportunity for the Jindal Stainless Indian Oil partnership to move beyond its existing arrangement. Jindal Stainless Managing Director Abhyuday Jindal said the companies could explore additional areas of technical cooperation as industry requirements develop.
Indian Oil highlighted the role of dependable energy and high-end SERVO lubricants in supporting Jindal Stainless’ demanding applications. The company described the relationship as being built around mutual trust, reliability and shared objectives.

The company manufactures products including stainless steel slabs, blooms, coils, plates, sheets, precision strips, wire rods, rebars, blade steel and coin blanks.
It also uses electric arc furnace technology for stainless steel production, a process that significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions and enables scrap recyclability without compromising on quality.
Jindal Stainless reported an annual turnover of ₹42,955 crore in FY26 and an annual melt capacity of 4.2 million tonnes.
