IRB Infrastructure Q1: Profit rose 51% to ₹306 crore despite largely flat income. The company also reported 14% growth in toll revenue to ₹733 crore, declared an interim dividend and started tolling on the Ganga Expressway and TOT18.
IRB Infrastructure Developers began FY27 with a sharp rise in profit, while toll collections continued to grow during the June quarter.
Consolidated net profit came in at ₹306 crore, compared with ₹202 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Total income remained broadly steady at ₹2,173 crore, while toll revenue rose to ₹733 crore from ₹646 crore a year earlier.
On 30 July, the IRB Infrastructure Developers share price closed at ₹20.25, up by 1.35% on the National Stock Exchange.
IRB Infrastructure Developers Q1 Results: How Did The Company Perform In The June Quarter?
IRB Infrastructure Developers Q1 profit rose 51% to ₹306 crore despite total income remaining almost flat at ₹2,173 crore. A year earlier, the company had reported a total income of ₹2,165 crore. Toll revenue provided the momentum, climbing 14% year-on-year to ₹733 crore.
Along with the quarterly numbers, the board declared an interim dividend of ₹0.05 per share. The record date is 5 August, and the payment will be made on or before 28 August.
What Were The Key Business Developments During The Quarter?
IRB commissioned the Ganga Expressway (Meerut-Budaun Group 1 BOT) and began toll collection on the project during the quarter. It also started tolling on TOT18 (Chandikhole-Bhadrak NH-16) from 1 April 2026, adding another operational asset to its portfolio.
The company's private InvIT joint venture, IRB Infrastructure Trust, also offered two highway BOT assets valued at ₹4,605 crore to IRB InvIT Fund, the public infrastructure investment trust sponsored by the company.
What Did The Management Say About The Outlook?
Chairman and Managing Director Virendra D. Mhaiskar said the company continues to navigate global economic challenges with the support of its ₹94,000 crore infrastructure asset portfolio and growing toll revenue. He added that IRB remains focused on its B.E.S.T. strategy and sees continued opportunities from the government's push for public-private partnerships in the road sector.
The company said it aims to expand its asset base to ₹1.4 lakh crore by 2030 by adding new projects while continuing its asset monetisation strategy through InvITs. Its portfolio currently includes 28 revenue-generating highway assets spread across 13 states, with around 1.5 million vehicle crossings each day.
