Hindustan Aeronautics reported a 15% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to ₹1,590 crore for the first quarter of FY27, compared with ₹1,384 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Hindustan Aeronautics Q1 FY 2026-27 Results: Defence public sector undertaking Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) reported its April-June quarter results on Wednesday, August 12, The defence company posted a consolidated bottom-line of Rs 1,590 crore for the June quarter, up 15% year-on-year from Rs 1,384 crore in the year-ago period, with revenue rising 14.4% to Rs 5,515 crore.

On a standalone basis, HAL posted a 15% year-on-year rise in net profit to Rs 1,581 crore, compared with Rs 1,377 crore in the same period a year earlier. However, on a sequential basis, profit declined 62% from Rs 4,184 crore in the March quarter, as per the standalone statements. Revenue from core operations advanced 14.4% year-on-year to Rs 5,515 crore, compared with Rs 4,819 crore in the same period a year earlier.

Raw material cost declined 12% year-on-year to Rs 2,780 crore, compared with Rs 3,162 crore in the same period a year earlier. Operational-level EBITDA increased 19% year-on-year to Rs 1,527 crore, compared with Rs 1,284 crore a year earlier, while EBITDA margin expanded 103 basis points to 27.67% from 26.64% in the same period last year.

Shares of Hindustan Aeronautics surged around 3% during Wednesday's session to touch an intraday and 52-week high of Rs 5,055 apiece, compared with the previous close of Rs 4,909.

The stock's 52-week low stood at Rs 3,479.10, touched on March 30, 2026. HAL shares have gained around 13% so far in 2026.

The company's market capitalisation stood at more than Rs 3.33 lakh crore as of Wednesday's trading session.
