Hindustan Construction Company Q1 FY 2026-27 Results:
HCC reported Q1 FY27 results, with lower revenue and EBITDA margin despite a profit of ₹51 crore.

Hindustan Construction Company posted a marginal rise in June-quarter net profit even as revenue and EBITDA margin declined, with the order book adding new wins across hydroelectric, metro and industrial projects.

HCC Q1 FY 2026-27 Results: Infrastructure major Hindustan Construction Company Ltd reported its financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, on Thursday, August 6.

The company's consolidated net profit stood at Rs 51.08 crore for the quarter, up marginally from Rs 50.73 crore in the corresponding period last year, even as revenue and margins came under pressure.

Consolidated revenue from operations declined 9 percent year-on-year to Rs 993.4 crore, compared with Rs 1,091.3 crore a year earlier. At the operating level, EBITDA fell sharply, down 41.7 percent to Rs 104.66 crore from Rs 179.4 crore in the year-ago quarter, while EBITDA margin narrowed to 10.54 percent from 16.44 percent.

On a standalone basis, the company's engineering and construction business posted turnover of Rs 981.7 crore, compared with Rs 1,069 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Standalone net profit came in at Rs 37.1 crore, against Rs 38.6 crore a year earlier, while EBITDA margin stood at 10.7 percent, down from 14.9 percent.

HCC secured a new order worth Rs 125 crore during the quarter and emerged as the lowest bidder for projects valued at about Rs 2,124 crore, of which the company's share is around Rs 1,671 crore. Bids worth approximately Rs 9,997 crore remain under evaluation, the company said.

Execution progressed across HCC's project portfolio through the quarter. At the 520 MW Tapovan Vishnugad Hydroelectric Project, the company achieved breakthrough of Head Race Tunnel Faces 2 and 3. At the 1,000 MW Vishnugad Pipalkoti Hydroelectric Project, the machine hall for Units 1 and 2 was handed over, while Head Race Tunnel excavation reached 85 percent completion. Earthworks and steel liner fabrication also advanced at the Bhivpuri Pumped Storage Project.

In the metro and transport segment, tunnel boring machine deployment began at the Indore Metro project alongside piling, station excavation and launch preparations. At the Patna Metro project, casting yard development, guide wall works and segment casting progressed, with tunnel boring machine deliveries scheduled for later this year. Piling, pier and segment casting also moved forward on the Agardanda Creek Bridge project.

In the industrial segment, the Aditya Aluminium Smelter expansion project for Hindalco received approval for its first pot shell prototype, allowing bulk fabrication to begin. In the nuclear segment, HCC continued execution of the Fast Reactor Fuel Cycle Facility and recently completed delivery for Units 7 and 8 of the Rajasthan Atomic Power Project.

Shares of Hindustan Construction Company ended at Rs 21.57 on the BSE, down Rs 0.36, or 1.64 percent.
