GK Energy Q1 FY 2026-27 Results: Net Profit Rises 54% To Rs 57 Crore, Stock Jumps 10%

GK Energy shares jumped 10 percent after the company posted a sharp rise in June-quarter profit and revenue, even as its EBITDA margin narrowed from a year earlier.
GK Energy Q1 FY 2026-27 Results: Solar EPC firm GK Energy Ltd reported its financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, on Friday, August 7, during market hours with shares jumping as much as 10% following the announcement.
The stock touched an intraday high of Rs 143.16 after the results, before paring some of its gains to trade 6.8% higher at Rs 139.
The company's consolidated net profit rose 54% year-on-year to Rs 57 crore, compared with Rs 37 crore in the corresponding period last year, while revenue and margins showed a mixed picture for the quarter.
Revenue from operations increased 55.4% year-on-year to Rs 505 crore from Rs 325 crore in the year-ago quarter.
At the operating level, EBITDA rose 44% year-on-year to Rs 82.4 crore, while the EBITDA margin contracted to 16.3% from 17.6% in the corresponding quarter last year.
Profit before tax increased to Rs 80.3 crore from Rs 50.5 crore a year earlier, while total income climbed to Rs 508.6 crore from Rs 326.4 crore. Total expenses rose to Rs 428.4 crore from Rs 275.9 crore, reflecting higher business activity during the quarter.
Segment Performance
The company operates across two business segments: engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), and the trading of solar cells (DCR) and other products. The EPC business continued to account for the bulk of revenue during the quarter. Segment profit before finance costs, depreciation and amortisation stood at Rs 85 crore, compared with Rs 65.7 crore in the year-ago period.
Dividend and Other Announcements
Separately, the board recommended a final dividend of Rs 0.50 per equity share of face value Rs 2 each for FY26, equivalent to a 25% payout, subject to shareholders' approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The board has fixed August 24, 2026, as the record date to determine shareholders eligible to receive the final dividend. The same date has also been set as the cut-off date for determining voting eligibility and participation at the AGM.
"The Final Dividend, if approved by the shareholders in the forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Company, shall be paid/dispatched within 30 days from the date of the AGM," the company said.
It also approved convening the 18th AGM on August 31 via video conferencing, and appointed CS Avanti Rajwade as the company's secretarial auditor for a five-year term beginning FY27.
