Dilip Buildcon Emerges As L-1 Bidder For ₹1,265 Crore Maharashtra Transmission Project

Dilip Buildcon has been selected as the L-1 bidder by RECPDCL for a Maharashtra intra-state electricity transmission project. The project involves a 400 KV GIS Solapur/Paranda switching station in Dharashiv district, with an EPC value of ₹1,265 crore.
As informed in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges, Dilip Buildcon Limited has emerged as the L-1 bidder for a Maharashtra intra-state electricity transmission project being developed by REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL).
The award covers the establishment of a 400 kilovolt (KV) gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) Solapur/Paranda switching station in Maharashtra's Dharashiv district.
On the National Stock Exchange (NSE) at 12:04 pm on 21 September 2026, Dilip Buildcon shares were trading at ₹426.50, up 0.24% from the previous close of ₹425.50. The stock opened at ₹427.10. It touched an intraday high of ₹431.25 before falling to a low of ₹423.10 during the session.
Dilip Buildcon To Take Transmission Project From Development To Operation
The RECPDCL order gives Dilip Buildcon the opportunity to acquire 100% equity in the project special purpose vehicle (SPV) and act as the Transmission Service Provider (TSP).
The Dilip Buildcon contract includes development, financing, design, engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance of the transmission assets. The company's engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) component is valued at ₹1,265 crore, excluding GST.
The project is a domestic contract and does not involve a related-party transaction. The company's promoter or promoter group also has no interest in the entity awarding the contract.
Solapur-Paranda Project Gets 24-Month Construction Timeline
The transmission project will be implemented through the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) route under the build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) model.
Construction and commissioning are to be completed within 24 months from the effective date, according to the company's disclosure. After the construction period, the project will be operated for 35 years from the commercial operation date (COD).
