Central Bank of India Q2 FY 2026-27 provisional figures show significant growth in gross advances and total business.

Central Bank of India Q2 FY 2026-27 provisional figures show total business rising 20.55% YoY, while gross advances increased 29.83%. Total deposits grew 14.43%, while CASA deposits rose 9.21%.

Central Bank of India informed the exchanges about its key provisional business figures for Q2 FY 2026-27 through a regulatory filing dated 05 October 2026.

The update showed broad-based growth across total business, deposits and advances, although the current account savings account (CASA) ratio declined from the year-earlier level. The figures remain provisional and are subject to audit by the bank's Statutory Central Auditors.

On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), Central Bank of India shares were trading at ₹30.09, up 0.30% at 12:12 pm on 5 October 2026. Its previous close was ₹30, while it opened at ₹30.20. The stock touched an intraday high of ₹30.56 and a low of ₹30.02.

Total business as on 30 September 2026 amounted to ₹8,89,621 crore with a year-on-year (YoY) growth of 20.55%. It was ₹7,37,938 crore on 30 September 2025 and ₹8,12,439 crore on 31 March 2026. This represents further growth in the bank's total business during the period.

The Central Bank of India Q2 FY2026-27 update also showed total deposits at ₹5,08,586 crore, up 14.43% from ₹4,44,450 crore a year earlier. The figure was ₹4,67,923 crore at the end of March 2026.

Within deposits, CASA deposits increased 9.21% YoY to ₹2,26,747 crore from ₹2,07,616 crore. They were at ₹2,20,781 crore as of 31 March 2026. However, the CASA ratio stood at 44.70%, compared with 46.83% a year earlier and 47.30% at the end of March. This represents a 213-basis-point (bps) YoY decline.

Gross advances recorded the sharpest growth among the key business figures. They rose 29.83% YoY to ₹3,81,035 crore as of 30 September 2026, compared with ₹2,93,488 crore a year earlier. The corresponding figure at the end of March 2026 was ₹3,44,516 crore.

The Central Bank of India gross advances figure also includes overseas activity through its International Banking Unit (IBU). IBU advances overseas stood at ₹8,093 crore as of 30 September 2026, while the comparable figures for the two earlier reference dates in the filing were not provided.
