CEAT reported a 26.2% year-on-year increase in Q2 FY27 consolidated revenue to reach ₹4,762 crore. Net profit fell 39.8% due to higher cost of commodities and raw materials.

CEAT Q2 FY27: Key Financial Highlights
Consolidated total income stood at ₹4,767 crore, compared with ₹3,777 crore in Q2 FY26. Total expenses increased to ₹4,585 crore from ₹3,531 crore.
Profit before exceptional items and tax declined to ₹182 crore from ₹246 crore. After exceptional items of ₹13 crore, profit before tax stood at ₹169 crore, compared with ₹246 crore a year earlier. Earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter was ₹27.79.
The company recognised ₹13 crore in exceptional expenses for voluntary retirement scheme (VRS) compensation during the quarter. It had recognised ₹7 crore under this head in Q1 FY27 and no such expense in Q2 FY26.
The company also noted that the consolidated figures are not strictly comparable year-on-year because the financial results of the Camso off-highway construction equipment tyre and tracks business, acquired through a subsidiary, have been included from 1 September 2025.
What Did CEAT Management Say?
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Arnab Banerjee said the company recorded double-digit revenue growth for another quarter, driven by premium segments across business units. He noted that the West Asia crisis kept raw-material costs elevated, but CEAT responded through tighter cost controls and disciplined execution.
Banerjee said the company would aim for another period of double-digit growth in the second half of FY27, alongside further price increases.
Chief Financial Officer Kumar Subbiah said CEAT would continue with calibrated pricing actions and work on improving its product mix. He added that commodity-cost pressures were expected to persist into Q3 FY27.
Subbiah also said debt increased during the quarter, largely due to capital expenditure of close to ₹490 crore to expand capacity in areas with high utilisation, along with dividend payouts. The company plans to maintain fiscal discipline while investing to meet demand.
