Aequs Ltd. share price declined despite the company securing long-term supply agreements with Safran, a global aerospace company that manufactures critical components.

Aequs-Safran agreement will expand their aerospace manufacturing relationship. Aequs said the contracts will support Safran’s supply chain and production programmes while strengthening Aequs’ position in the aerospace sector. The announcement was made through an exchange filing on Monday, 12 October 2026.

At 11:04 am on 13 October 2026, the Aequs share price stood at ₹264.30, down ₹1.60 or 0.60%, on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The stock opened at ₹274.45, reached a high of ₹275 and touched a low of ₹262.70, compared with its previous close of ₹265.90.

Aequs shares had gained 19% over the previous month and 91% so far this year.

The agreements extend existing engagements with Safran Landing Systems and add relationships with Safran AeroSystems and Safran Electronics & Defence. The company said it now has relationships with six Safran entities.

The contracts include machining superalloy parts, supplying complex machine coatings and assembling landing gear components for the Airbus A320, A330 and A350, as well as Boeing 787 programmes.

Aequs plans to use its integrated manufacturing capabilities across forging, precision machining, special processes, surface treatments and assembly to manufacture these products.

A significant part of the work is expected to be carried out at the upcoming Aequs Engine Components Ecosystem (AECE) in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The facility is intended to handle medium and large components, complementing the company’s Belagavi Aerospace Cluster, which serves global aerospace supply chains.

Aequs Ltd. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Aravind Melligeri said the components involved are among the more challenging flight-critical products to industrialise. He added that the agreements demonstrate the aerospace manufacturing capabilities developed in India and the strength of the company’s ecosystem.

The new contracts follow a July 2026 agreement between Aequs and Safran Landing Systems to supply fully assembled wheels for the Airbus A320 family. According to the exchange filing, this was Aequs’ first serial production agreement extending beyond 15 years, with the arrangement running through 2042.

The wheels are to be manufactured entirely in India, from Indian-sourced aluminium through final assembly and testing, enabling full domestic manufacturing value addition.
