Adani Green Energy Share Price Rises Over 1% Today, Stock Up 16% In Six Months

Adani Green Energy shares rose over 1% on October 12 and have gained around 16% in the past six months. The stock has risen about 23% in 2026 as the company adds renewable energy and battery storage capacity.
Adani Green Energy shares rose over 1% on Monday, October 12, taking their gains over the past six months to around 16%. The stock was trading at ₹1,270.10 on the NSE at 12:56 pm, up ₹14.30 or 1.14% from its previous close.
The Gautam Adani-led renewable energy company's shares have gained about 23% so far in 2026, though they remain around 22% below their earlier peak. The rise has come alongside additions to the company's renewable energy portfolio and battery storage capacity, with Adani Green working towards 50 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
Jefferies expects this expansion to drive earnings over the next few years. The global investment bank estimates Adani Green's EBITDA could grow at a compound annual growth rate of around 30% between FY26 and FY30 and has a target price of ₹1,695 on the stock, which implies an upside of about 35% from the price used in its assessment.
Adani Green Plans Faster Capacity Addition
Adani Green's operational renewable energy portfolio has crossed 20 GW and the company plans to take it to 50 GW by 2030. Jefferies expects annual capacity additions of around 6.5 GW to 6.8 GW between FY28 and FY30, with the pace potentially increasing if electricity demand remains strong.
The company has also been adding battery storage capacity. Its operational Battery Energy Storage System capacity stands at around 6.6 GWh and is expected to cross 10 GWh during FY27. The storage business is being built alongside its solar, wind and hybrid renewable energy portfolio.
Jefferies expects higher temperatures to support electricity demand, while lower coal stocks could increase the requirement for power availability. According to the brokerage, state electricity boards have already started discussions to secure power supplies for 2027.
The brokerage expects Adani Green's operational capacity to reach around 44 GW by FY30. As earnings rise with the addition of new projects, it estimates the company's net debt-to-EBITDA ratio could decline to around 7.1 times in FY30 from 8.9 times in FY26.
Adani Green Shares Up 23% In 2026
Adani Green shares have risen around 16% in six months and about 23% so far this year, but continue to trade below their earlier peak. Jefferies said the stock is trading at around 20 times one-year forward EBITDA following the correction from its highs.
The company has also received fresh capital from its promoters. Adani Group promoters had subscribed to 63 million warrants at ₹1,480.75 apiece as part of a ₹9,350 crore investment in Adani Green. Of this, 25% was paid in 2024 and the balance was infused between April and July 2025.
Jefferies has retained its ₹1,695 target price while pointing to execution delays, particularly at the Khavda renewable energy project, and aggressive bidding as risks to its estimates.
