At around 9:45 AM:
The Sensex was up by 111.43 points (0.15%) to trade at 74,970.42.
The Nifty 50 was up by 42.10 points (0.18%) to trade at 23,456.40.
On Monday, 21 September 2026, both benchmark indices closed in the positive territory, as a decline in oil prices supported the momentum. At the closing bell, the Sensex stood at 74,858.99, up 0.76%. The Nifty 50 stood at 23,414.30, up 0.29%.
How Are Other Indices Performing?
Apart from the Sensex and the Nifty 50, other broader indices also traded in the green during early trading on Tuesday.
At around 9:45 AM, Bank Nifty was up 148.40 points (0.26%) to trade at 56,619.05. The Nifty Financial Services index was also up by around 0.42% to trade at 25,632.95.
Sectoral indices, meanwhile, traded in mixed directions.
