Benchmark indices, the Sensex and the Nifty 50 were trading in the positive in the afternoon as traders assessed the possibility of a de-escalation of war in the Middle East. At 11:46 am, both the Sensex and the Nifty 50 were up 0.48%.
Broader markets were also trading in the positive. The Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Smallcap 100 were up 0.41% and 0.57% at around 11:48 am.
