Sapphire Foods posted strong Q4 FY26 growth led by KFC, with revenue up 11% and EBITDA improving, but its profitability reduced.

Sapphire Foods delivered a strong March quarter. In its press release, the company called it its best performance in the last 12 quarters thanks to KFC’s growth and addition of new customers. In Q4 FY26, the company reported revenue of ₹789.8 crore, a growth of 11% year-on-year (YoY). The main reason was KFC which saw a jump of 15% in revenue, its strongest growth in the last eight quarters. Still, it had a net loss of ₹12.6 crore for the quarter.

At the close of the day on 28 April 2026, Sapphire Foods’ share price had slipped almost 1% to reach ₹174.30 on the National Stock Exchange.

Consolidated Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortisation (EBITDA) grew 21% YoY, with margins improving to 13.0% (up 100 basis points). Consolidated adjusted EBITDA came in at ₹61 crore, up 20% YoY, with margins at 7.7%. Meanwhile, overall EBITDA stood at ₹124.9 crore with a margin of 15.8%, growing 10% YoY, though margins slightly contracted by 20 basis points.

Profit before tax (PBT) adjusted for the effects of exceptional items was ₹8.3 crore (1.1% margin). However, once the exceptional items were taken into consideration, the company actually recorded PBT loss of ₹15.5 crore. The exceptional items include expenses of ₹6.2 crore associated with labour code changes and ₹6.6 crore in merger-related costs, including ESOP changes for the purpose of employee retention.

For the entire FY26, Sapphire Foods reported an overall revenue growth of 8% with a total income of ₹3,153.4 crore. However, adjusted EBITDA fell by 9% on YoY basis, while margins declined by 150 basis points to 7.6% due to cost pressures and industry challenges. The net loss for the year was ₹32 crore.
