RVNL Reports 43% Decline In Q4FY26 PAT To ₹212 Crore; Revenue Rises 5%

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited posted a weaker fourth quarter, with standalone profit falling 43% year-on-year to ₹212 crore. Revenue, however, moved up 5%, and the company has recommended a final dividend of ₹0.71 per share for FY26.

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) posted a standalone net profit of ₹212 crore for the quarter ended March 2026, compared to ₹373 crore recorded in the same period last year. Meanwhile, the railway PSU reported a 5% rise in revenue to ₹6,648 crore in Q4FY26, against ₹6,345 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

As of 12:01 pm on 26 May 2026, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited shares were trading at ₹263.10, lower by 3.43% during the day’s trade.

On a sequential basis, profit after tax declined to ₹212 crore in Q4FY26, down by 20% when compared to ₹264 crore reported in the December quarter. However, revenue saw a strong 48% quarter-on-quarter jump when compared to ₹4,504 crore in Q3FY26.

For the full fiscal year, PAT dropped 33% to ₹800 crore compared to ₹1,198 crore recorded in FY25. Meanwhile, annual revenue registered a marginal increase to ₹19,869 crore during FY26.

Total expenses for the quarter stood at ₹6,535 crore, higher than ₹4,386 crore in the preceding quarter and ₹6,081 crore in the year-ago period. The expenditure rose 49% sequentially and 7% year-on-year, mainly due to higher material costs, employee-related expenses, and finance charges.

The company’s overall assets expanded to ₹20,588 crore in FY26 from ₹19,485 crore in FY25.

Cash flow remained negative at ₹1,923 crore during FY26, compared with ₹1,920 crore in the previous fiscal.

On a consolidated basis, PAT plunged 60% year-on-year to ₹182 crore in Q4FY26 from ₹455 crore reported a year earlier. Sequentially, consolidated profit fell 44%. Meanwhile, consolidated revenue increased 43% QoQ to ₹6,696 crore from ₹4,684 crore in Q3FY26 and rose 4% YoY over ₹6,427 crore posted in Q4FY25.

The company’s board has recommended a final dividend of ₹0.71 per share for FY26, subject to shareholders’ approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). The dividend amount will be paid within 30 days from the date of approval at the AGM.
